Kartik Tyagi has broke his personal record of 152.6 and eached 153.6. Never had we ever had this luxury of express pool! Umran Mayank Ashok and Kartik. I just hope Umran somehow gets backing in the domestics

Gurnoor has touched almost 151 kph too. Regularly crosses 147 kph.

Tarmale is not far behind.

We have 5 or 6 express pacers now.

Devendran likely to reach there in the next 2 years.

I got the feeling from the presser that Gill wanted him.

But GG is conservative. Focuses on a test team that has a high probability of handing him another loss.  :phehe:

Gota isn’t conservative he is biased

tarmale is far behind he is early to mid 140s bowler mainly due to a sligy action

Prasidh was introduced by Dravid in tests and T20Is. And by Shastri in ODIs.

Harshit's test credentials are untested. But he has been a strike bowler in ODIs with 26 wickets from 14 ODIs. Don't like him in T20s.

Anyone can be introduced problem is persistence without  performance

Tyagi  gurnoor mayank

This is my prefered group too. And Ashok when he gets fit.

I think they missed a trick by not picking Tyagi and Mayank for Duleep Trophy.

They will never develop by playing T20 leagues. Will never gain full fitness either.

Prasidh played half his ODIs under Dravid.

Initially, in tests under GG, even Akashdeep and Kamboj were prefered ahead of him. Him regularly getting picked in tests came only after his 8 wicket haul in the 5th test in England, which led to us winning the test. And he is averaging 21.x in tests since then.

Red ball Zonal cricket going on in India.

Kamboj mostly 127 k to 135 k. Just floating the ball up with indip. Gentle stuff.

Arshdeep 127 k to 137 k. Bowling with fire. Bounce, movement.

Deshpande hovering around 135 k. Nothing special.

Mukesh C mid to high 130s. [ Heard he touched 144 k in the 1st innings ]. Not that threatening.

Apart from Arshdeep Singh, no one is looking international class.

Very average quality pacers selected.

Almost same speed ,but different approach

Yes.

Arshdeep was hitting the deck hard and getting the ball to climb. Getting good carry. Bowled some yorkers too.

Saw only floaty indippers from Kamboj.

Tarmale is coming from tennis-ball cricket not from proper Ind crkt system, he needs to play bit more FC and List-A cricket 1st.

Can be tried in t20, t20 bowling skills matches to tennis-ball cricket.

blame Gambhir he is obsessed with Prasidh.

but changes will happen at next bcci agm

Prasidh is bowling decently these days.

Yeah, agree that he isnt the solution for most of our needs, but he is strictly playing the role of 3rd seamer who can use bounce to his effect.

Although, the situation is so dire that even Siraj who too is at best a third seamer.

Agree.

And all the more reason they should introduce a 1st pacer material like Gurnoor. He won't be able to play the 1st pacer's role unless he gets a 7 to 10 match experience.

With Bumrah's fitness concerns, it was all the more of a necessity.

Gambhir isn't brave enough to play Gurnoor against Afghanistan or Srilanka.

Even after 10 wicket haul in A match, Gambhir is adamant to play Siraj in the 2nd test
