I would have DEFINITELY posed for photos with the lion, but not so sure about having a ride on its back. Not that i wouldnt want to , just that sitting on back of a lion may upset it a bit.

Someday I'd like to go to an African Safari type thingy. But 'up close and personal'...??? You do realize they dont treat you as a 'friend' do you? Seriously - (since you seem to be talking serious) - how do you think you can get up close and personal and still be safe? (tamed lions, yes, perhaps...but even then...well)

Just remember- big cats are no different than house cats in their behaviour to humans. Just like how the cat might just scratch your arm as you touch it, so too might mr Tiger. Except the difference is, with mr Tiger's "please don't bug me now-gentle-scratch', you will have half your torso ripped open.

When i say i want to get really close with a lion or a tiget , i mean a domesticated/tamed one. Of course there is a huge risk element , but i am willing to take that for that one moment of thrill. Its like doing a bungee jump, the risks are there , but just for that few moments of adrenalin rush , i believe that the risk is worth taking.

Dude...bungee jumping and petting a lion are NOt the same. In one, you are at the mercy of human engineering, in the other, the mood of another animal you cannot even communicate with. As for thrill- well i used to think the same till i went down to the sundarbans with cousins after grade 10 finals. Saw a tiger resting less than 10 feet from me ( with its kill half-eaten and close by) and only thing i felt was dread. Perhaps when you get so close, only then you truely realize the significance of how easily that tiger can kill you and there is nothing you can do about it if it chose to. Oh btw, video-tape yourself when you do that. If you survive, it'll make a nice youtube video. If not, carry an open envelope with Reuters address & postage on it- that way whoever finds your remains(and thus the tape) would be a millionaire :two_thumbs_up:
