MM, Say that it happens...you get seriously injured but you remain alive... Would you not regret that deczn?
Regret ? What does that mean ? I believe strongly in destiny. What is mean to happen ( good or bad) will happen. NOBODY cant stop that. Then why lose sweat over something you dont control ? If i was to killed/harmed by that lion, that will happen anyways, whether i myself consented to it or not. Just that, I have a family that i am accountable to, which is the only problem , to be honest.

So you are a fatalist then ? Well in that case, next time Mt.Pinnatubo goes kaboom, i hope you climb its slopes in the thrill to see live lava flows...and repeat the above mantra.

Dude...bungee jumping and petting a lion are NOt the same. In one, you are at the mercy of human engineering, in the other, the mood of another animal you cannot even communicate with. As for thrill- well i used to think the same till i went down to the sundarbans with cousins after grade 10 finals. Saw a tiger resting less than 10 feet from me ( with its kill half-eaten and close by) and only thing i felt was dread. Perhaps when you get so close, only then you truely realize the significance of how easily that tiger can kill you and there is nothing you can do about it if it chose to. Oh btw, video-tape yourself when you do that. If you survive, it'll make a nice youtube video. If not, carry an open envelope with Reuters address & postage on it- that way whoever finds your remains(and thus the tape) would be a millionaire :two_thumbs_up:
You think i am not aware of the risks ? As i said , I wont go hunting for a lion/tiger in a forest and politely request it to stand next to me for a photo-shoot. I said i would be willing to risk it with a tamed/domesticated wild cat. And thousands of people working in circus' take that risk everyday and they do finish the day alive. Its not like i said i would go stand in front of a speeding train and "see if the risk works out".

You are mistaken. That is the attitude i adopt to deal with the happenings of my life , the good , the bad and the ugly. Helps me maintain a sane head through good and bad times. If i become a billionaire , its not i will stop interacting normal people and adopt a haughty approach. If become a pauper, it wouldnt stop me from posting comedy videos in ICF or cracking stupid jokes. I try to make my happiness/state of mind independent of any external variable. What you have suggested is pure stupidity, not a approach to life.

MM, We cannot control everything in life. Agreed. But, we have to do what we can to live well. At least thats what I believe. We do the best we can to the best of our judgement.

You gotta go against your judgement at times, it's a lotta fun :D, otherwise life can get quite boring

You see, we have to know when we HAVE to be sane ( or in other words , boring) and when we should just let go. If i have to give a corporate presentation , i will ofcourse do it in all seriousness and sanity, but if i were to go to a mountain hike or a wildlife safari, i will definitely take that extra risk. Of course , finding the balance is really hard, but there is no harm in trying.
