Barack Obama has authorised targeted air strikes against Islamic militants in Iraq, as the US military began an airborne operation to bring relief to thousands of minority Iraqis driven to a grim, mountain-top refuge. Describing the threats against stranded Yezidi refugees as holding the potential for “genocideâ€, the president said he had authorised limited air strikes to help Iraqi forces, to assist in the fight to break the siege and protect the civilians trapped there. The Yazidis had been denounced as infidels by Al-Qaida in Iraq, a predecessor of Isis, which sanctioned their indiscriminate killing. Gruesome images of brutally slain people have emerged in the past week, as local officials say that at least 500 Yazidis, including 40 children, have been killed, and many more have been threatened with death. Roughly 130,000 residents of the Yazidi stronghold of Sinjar have fled to Dohuk, in Iraqi Kurdistan to the north, or to Irbil. These comparison keep getting appalling. Gaza genocide is being done by a sovereign country having diplomatic relations with all major powers of the world. While Iraqi genocide is by bunch terrorists having no credibility or no recognition other then being one of the terrorist group. Now can I ask a counter question. America is employing air strikes to stop genocide by ISIS, why it didn't so on Israel? Anyways on topic. After delaying this decision for long, Obama eventually had to agree to get involved in this war in Iraq once again. Right decision even though not much of US population is going to like it.

Man , America is damned if it does and damned if it doesn't. According to aaptard they should let these 40000 something yezidis die bcoz they are not Muslims. Why no protest in Kashmir if they care so much about humanity. Ask your countrymen aka Kashmiris first then ask Americans. Why aap never had a candlelight march for these yezidis.

So condemnation should be based on who is killing not about death of innocent civilians? Seriously? 1000 more times of civilians have been murdered in Syria and Iran in the past few months than in Gaza If anything the moderate muslim people protesting vehemently over gaza have far more responsibility and should be far more vocal about these barbarians(ISIS) becoz they claim to represent them in the first place.By keeping mum they are only condoning these actions. And what Isreal is commiting is commiting is war crimes not Genocide

This is so true. But what we see is, a few people flashing their flags, donning their T-Shirts and a lot of them just keeping mum.

Yeah, saw one of the videos in there. Amazing how muslims from other countries are joining them.. and most of the time they dont even speak the same language. They use interpreter to co-ordinate with each other.. Lunatics are getting crazier. US is feeling bit responsible for ISIS and hence they are going ahead with bombings.. Still a right decision.
