ZeroBlack Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 But yet are crap at that as well, India's history in cricket is shocking and continues to be one of the worst in the world, if you take out the minnows. Why is this so? India only has one national sport, India aren't good at anything else, so why are they so crap at the one thing that 90% of the population love so much?
gaurav92 Posted August 10, 2014 Posted August 10, 2014 Don't blame him, we never treated hockey like our national sport !
NareshK Posted August 10, 2014 Posted August 10, 2014 National sport is hockey not cricket but even in cricket, we have won world cup, champions trophy, reached finals in world t20, won test series at home but we generally don't do well overseas but I feel we have done well recently in SA, NZ but didnt go on and win the crunch moments and win matches. We won at Lord's which is a historic win but lost 2 tests. But I think this team has the potential to win overseas regularly. Have to be a bit patient.
game_changerr Posted August 10, 2014 Posted August 10, 2014 i tht why english fan will start this thread after winning so convincingly:cantstop:,,,bhai saab its their(eng)national game not ors
TNAmarkFrmIndia Posted August 10, 2014 Posted August 10, 2014 The real question is why do 90% of the people in such a huge country love just one sport? Show your support for other sports in the country as well. If the support for other games increase, so will the quality of the players.
ZeroBlack Posted August 10, 2014 Author Posted August 10, 2014 LOL Hockey is your National Sport? Is that why you are so worse at that? Don't try and hide the fact that Cricket is way more popular than hockey and India has been **** at cricket throughout your history.

If I am not wrong, England has invented cricket and football. Football is the most popular sport in Engerland and we all know how **** England is in football :hehe: Even in cricket, England has the same number of World Cups as Kenya, Bangladesh, Ireland, Afganistan, Somalia, Congo :hehe: and that is a big fat ZERO :hehe:

The heroes of which are the likes of Afridi :cantstop: Until the captain goes with his defensive attitude, we are not going to win any overseas tests

Wrong on so many counts, India has only one sport and that is Cricket, in Hockey India is even worse, this is the problem with India, you guys win one test in a blue moon and think your team is so awesome. No wonder India will always remain a very poor team, look through India's history and you will see how poor India truly is at all sport, Hockey India used to be a great team but that was 40 years ago, lol keep dreaming.
TNAmarkFrmIndia Posted August 10, 2014 Posted August 10, 2014 India does suck at sports, and that's because parents in India would rather have their kids stick to academics and have a stable financial future than join sports which lacks organization, infrastructure and support. That is something that really needs to change. A lot of talented young players have given up their favourite sport to be doctors, lawyers, engineers or something else.

Out of curiosity, which countries are you comparing India to?
