If we win next test and series is 2-2, we would have exceeded all expectations before the series. Anything can happen in next Test. I won't blame our batsmen too much. 1st innings on that green pitch on day 1 with Broad and Anderson - what do you think other teams would have scored. The reason I care about 1st innings only is because the match was decided after our 1st innings...( we made 150) and at most we could have avoided innings defeat...won't change scoreline Aus - maybe 200 if Clarke gets going..else 150 Pak - 40 or 50 max WI - Add 10 to Pak's score :winky: NZ - same as us max If Eng had batted first, I am 100% sure they would not have crossed 200 even against our bowling forget about them facing their own bowlers. We had decided to bat first..***** happens...time to wipe it off and move on... Most of us are over reacting because we are unable to wipe the smiles from the face of Anderson and Broad...and even from ( for the wrong reasons) Moeen...My advise is this...look at Cook,Ballance,Robson and the other bowlers...they looked like nice guys...its a game and we will be back arguing our XI. Bump. More evidence of Indian cricket being dead. Since 2008 when Dada retired we havent found anyone for that spot and now we must find replacements for Sehwag Dravid VVS and SRT. Lol.

The team as it is is actually ok. Apart from one opening spot and one middle order batsman, everyone else has shown at some point that they are good test players. What's needed is a change in attitude and that has to come from the captain and/or the coach.

We won 1 and lost 2. Just learn to accept defeats. Take it and learn to accept it. Even though you might not be sportsman, but take it like a sportsman. We can't always win. Things don't change over night. Never has and never will. It will take time, but I see us being a world class team. Test Cricket as always been the toughest thing to achieve heights in, and it will take these guy ssome time but they will do it.

India will always be strong at home and over the years will become a decent side overseas. But not in a hundred years will they become a side that consistently wins in Aus, Eng, SA etc. They just won't become a great side like I used to think they may. Just have to accept that I guess :((

Isn't that what is already happening now? We already have T20 tournaments all around the year with mostly packed crowd as well. And most countries are cutting their test schedules to organize these tournaments . IPL will never expand year long becoz BCCI will need to give space to all these T20 tournaments in other countries to ensure participation of their players . Apart from Ashes only reason test cricket is surviving is becoz of the pre conceived notion of being the supreme format. But it survive long if fans continue to turn off from them. I mean even in Aus they are vigorously promoting big bash to attract new viewers from switching over to football .

No , Indian Cricket is NOT dead . It is terminally ill and has been on Subcontinental-flat-pitch life support for a long time. Maybe the Australian tour will be the act of Euthanasia everyone is waiting for . I do worry for the large number of fans though. They seem to belong to the category of the Undead ; ZOMBIES mindlessly craving & feeding on the putrescent carcasses (T20's & ODI's) of a once beautiful game.
