Marco Polo Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 I don't know but I am not comfortable eating beef. Rest of the things are alright but I sort of feel either guilty or feel bad. You can't put it in words exactly how I feel whenever I tried to eat beef. I'm not sure if this is normal....

CSK Fan Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 Bengalis Rule!!!! Hats off to my Fellow Bengali:bow: Yaar, my in-laws are big Krishna bhakts. And because of lots of circumstances surrounding my marriage and after, I have become a huge devotee myself. I follow every ekadashi. It will be extremely hypocritical of me to still be eating beef after this. Though I do miss it a lot

yoda Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 Become a vegetarian, save an animal or two or more depending on how much you eat.
Rotating Potato Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 Become a vegetarian' date=' save an animal or two or more depending on how much you eat.[/quote'] Chickens and other animals that are eaten are there in plenty. It's not like we are eating tigers or anything.
Brainfade Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 Become a vegetarian' date=' save an animal or two or more depending on how much you eat.[/quote'] How would you save an animal that wouldn't even exist otherwise? No reason for breeding livestock if we went vegetarian.
moniker Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 Become a vegetarian' date=' save an animal or two or more depending on how much you eat.[/quote'] Save animals? If we don't eat chicken, imagine the raucous every morning created by roosters, them multiplying rapidly due to uninhibited breeding. Unless it spoils the ecosystem, there's no reason why we shouldn't eat a particular species. It's all part of the food chain.
Brainfade Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 Save animals? If we don't eat chicken, imagine the raucous every morning created by roosters, them multiplying rapidly due to uninhibited breeding. Unless it spoils the ecosystem, there's no reason why we shouldn't eat a particular species. It's all part of the food chain. Also, note: Most chicken and cattle exist because humans breed them for meat. So, no meat = no meat-producing animals. They're commodities. So, it's not like we're saving any lives. We created those lives in the first place.
