ThePhenomenal1 Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 This may be obvious going by this past season. This may not be a personal agenda or it may be, but dhoni doesn't want Umesh Yadav in the world cup squad. It's not a question of 1-2 ODIs, he is blocking a genuine quick playing his 1st world cup. He may not be that good at ODIs but he gets wickets. He needs a fair run. If MSD doesn't pick him, then selector's will eventually drop him from the squad. He thinks Umesh will leak runs etc etc. This is a plan to completely shut the door! It happened in the test squad. No reason why it can't happen again and ishant sharma take his place. Dhoni forgets that when his team made only 129 in CT13 final, it was pace bowler yadav who got Cook and led to england being under pressure. Yadav 5 wickets vs aus in warm up game. Took more wickets as he played more odis. Did decent in ipl and in AUS A-tour. Need that pace factor and dhoni is killing him off. But it's not too late! Play him this odi and t20. Give him WI series and AUS series. Still time. Something must be done! Open a yadav petition someone!
zep1706 Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 I want to see him in test cricket. I don't think he has the control to become successful in ODIs. But in tests he can produce genuine wicket tacking deliveries.
Midfielder Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 For the millionth time, Dhoni is a cancer.
Cricket_Hacker Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 Umesh :bye: Next target: Aaron :bye:
vijay50 Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 Dhoni wants variety in fast bowling.Bhuvi for swing, Shami for pace and Ishant for bounce. Since Ishant is injured, he plays Mohit who he thinks is accurate. The criteria for these bowlers is that they have to go less than 5 rpo . This becomes a must almost if they dont pick any wickets. Dhoni feels Umesh cant go less than 5 rpo and he rarely picks up a wicket or two. So unless Shami is injured and Aaron is not picked, I dont see Umesh playing.

vijay50 Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 and dhawal? Dhoni thought Dhawal might be an accurate and economical bowler. He turned out to be Meh.
ThePhenomenal1 Posted September 4, 2014 Author Posted September 4, 2014 umesh should be 1st name on the team sheet. hasn't been given long enough rope to improve.

fineleg Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 Wc2019, yadav will be 31/32 yrs old. He has to play Tests atleast now at this age.
Insidious Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 Dhoni is definitely not a captain, you want as a fastbowler. He always create a perception about a bowler at first sight and blindly follow it to prove his point, come what may. Its like 'first impression is the last impression' for him. He is P*SS poor when it comes to identifying a fast bowling talent and thoroughly supporting it. So as a fastbowler ,no matter who you are (except the sharmas :giggle:), you have to make it count by taking wickets in the very FIRST match itself or you are done for life. Bhuvi did that by impressing every one against pakistan in his first match. Shami did that in his first match, after his comeback to odi side against Aussies in Ranchi. And that is why they are still there in odi setup. In Umesh case , he squandered the little opportunities he got in champions Trophy and later in west indies tri-series , and he became a filth bowler according to Dhoni. His pace and intimidation counts nothing for Dhoni.. In a nutshell Dhoni is not a captain who could thoroughly support a promising fast bowler and give him enough opportunities to evolve come what may. Rather he is a butcher who would slaughter our every single hope of producing a world class fast bowler
King Tendulkar Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 He is shutting all doors on yadav for any indian team in any format. You can do that when have zero accountability and are all powerful. Thus if politics or petty agendas can indulge fully in that with no ramifications. Sad days
King Tendulkar Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 Today. He will pick Yadav And give him 8 overs in 6 spells and do all he can to make sure he does not do well! ass hole
King Tendulkar Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 Yadav finally in. Wrong format and only one game Willl dhoni use him properly, decent 4 over spells min. Or try and F him up
mishra Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 Yadav finally in. Wrong format and only one game Willl dhoni use him properly, decent 4 over spells min. Or try and F him up Dhoni will use him first change. I hope he grabs this opportunity today. Yadav has to take this opportunity.
King Tendulkar Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 If dhoni gives him a 1 over or 2 over spell, we will all know what he is up to! Last time in SA he gave him 13 overs in 9 spells in deliberate attempt to wreck him. Lets see what captain corrupt does today?
kosingh Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 Dhoni is going to stand up to the stumps for Yadav's bowling to show that he is not scared.
