BlackMamba Posted September 23, 2014 Posted September 23, 2014 Those methods were different. Most bowlers passed those tests. They could bowl different in lab than they did in the match. Now their actions are matched with bowling in matches. The reason so many bowlers have been barred from bowling. Something I have been *****ing about for more than 10 long M F'ing Years. It boils my blood to see criminals (I am looking at you F'ing Mooli) -- who got away with it. It never made any god damned sense to me as to how any normal sane human being could equate to what happens in the lab to what happens on the ground ! Is ICC that f'ing dumb ? Well what else can we expect -- when one its President was Speed and Sunil Moron Gavaskar as its technical committee chairman.
kira Posted September 23, 2014 Posted September 23, 2014 Kudos to Ajmal for not faking it like Murali during the tests... What if those numbers are after faking it and he chucks even more on the field :giggle::hysterical:B->
rkt.india Posted September 23, 2014 Posted September 23, 2014 Kudos to Ajmal for not faking it like Murali during the tests... Because he cannot. Testing method has changed now. Same Ajmal was cleared in 2009 using different method where he could fake his action.
mishra Posted September 23, 2014 Posted September 23, 2014 Because he cannot. Testing method has changed now. Same Ajmal was cleared in 2009 using different method where he could fake his action. Exactly. Murali gets benefit of doubt. But Ajmal is definitely a cheat who is caught.
thongale Posted September 24, 2014 Posted September 24, 2014 The interesting question would be, would all the bowlers with clean actions pass the test if same protocol was used? But ICC has not published the testing protocol or related data, and there is a big grey area surrounding the above aspect.

But ICC has not published the testing protocol or related data, and there is a big grey area surrounding the above aspect.[/quote'] i am pretty sure when they designed it they must have tested few bowlers and they must have passed or failed depending on their actions so this is not case of test being so harsh that every bowler will get banned ..i know what you are trying to say and its understandable seeing how many are getting banned but IMO it shows system before was in adequate not only testing but procedure where bowlers got away by bowling with different action . even if many bowlers get banned that does not prove that its not possible to bowl within limit but rather last system failed and chucking was encouraged .. i have no doubt there would not be so many so called "mystery" bowlers if this current system was placed before and lot less banned bowlers :winky:
thongale Posted September 24, 2014 Posted September 24, 2014 Don't think ifs and buts count. The protocol should be there so any player / official can examine and challenge the process. Holding it close to their chests creates more problem. In y opinion they should test other bowlers randomly as well to keep a better standard.
Marut Posted September 24, 2014 Posted September 24, 2014 42 degree chucking?:haha::haha: ICC has got to be a joke organization for allowing this sort of thing.
kira Posted September 24, 2014 Posted September 24, 2014 42 degree chucking?:haha::haha: ICC has got to be a joke organization for allowing this sort of thing. Correction , ICC was joke of an organization b4 but BCCI saved it and transformed it into a functioning bodyB->:two_thumbs_up:

At the moment individual countries have no way of screening chuckers by testing them even if they have enough money to afford a lab. They have no protocol to base upon.

Austin 3:!6 Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 Ajmal is not only a chucker but a disgrace in the name of bowling. Not sure what is there to discuss for 8 pages. Glad that sanity have prevailed and he has been banned. Should have been banned back in 2009 when he started chucking:headshake: Move on guys :nice:
BlueBee Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 Yeah, it's going overboard. He is/was a chucker. He's banned. /Thread

Old guy Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 Even PCB in offical press conference said that they were expecting Ajmal's ban :cantstop: yep..he deserved it and actually should have been much much earlier ..there is a reason he is not even trying to test again :giggle:

Even McGrath and Pollock went up to 13 degrees, and that was under the old system where Ajmal was tested 9 degrees or something. There is no guarantee that clean looking actions don't breach the limits. Only way to know is to repeat the test using control subjects, i.e. bowlers with "clean" actions.
