Ajmal banned from bowling

very well put' date='I think at least with Ojha, his name is brought up as a token since we mention a srilankan and a Paki....[b']Ojha has done Zilch damage whatsoever at the international stage in comparison to Ajmal or Murali. As far as Bhajji goes,Yeah his Doosra was dodgy but he stopped bowling that was the end of that.
from what I understand Bhajji voluntarily stopped bowling his doosra after ICC investigated his action even though they found nothing wrong with it. Indian fans should stop throwing Bhajji and Ojha under bus to try and prove their not biased. They might have taken advantage of the 15 Degree rule but Ajmal clearly went way above 15 degrees to point where it was ridiculous.
Then why do they opt for full sleeves no matter what? There is something dodgy. Their action doesn't look clean to the naked eye. Bhajji getting cleared before means nothing now cos all those who are banned now were cleared by the same ICC. Also it doesn't matter whether someone does a great damage with the ball or not. If someone is picking up international wickets with a dodgy action, that's bad. Of course, calling out guys like Rayudu and Dhawan is a waste of time for all. But for regular bowlers its different. In fact, if Rayudu and Dhawan regularly bowl, calling them out for their action is fair.

That doesn't mean they are breaking the rules. Ojha ,and hafeez both have dodgy actions and but not nearly as bad as Ajmals hence the reason Hafeez hasn't been reported. and yet you have Indians saying that Ojha and Ajmal are both equally bad chuckers which is not the case at all. Your still allowed 15 degrees so you can have a dodgy looking action and still not be chucking according to the rules. Shillingford, Sensanake and ajmal had far worse actions than Ojha.

They are begging for fixer aamir to be granted permission to use PCB facilities. There is no limit to the low PCB & the people who support them cant go.
Don't talk about your countrymen like that :whack:

Few points: 1. Dodgy action doesn't mean someone's breaking the rules. It means they need to be scrutinized and tested. With the new testing procedures, the focus will be on those who have dodgy actions and are not yet reported. 2. Indians don't call everyone as equally bad chuckers. They lump people with dodgy actions into one category. Of course, amongst them there is always a discussion about whose action is worse. 3. There is a difference between Ojha's action and Ajmal's. And there is also a difference between Ajmal's action and guys like Shillingford and Senanayake (they are the worst IMHO). 4. The rules have changed. A bowler's prev test results have no meaning now. If Bhajji or Ojha get reported and CLEAR these tests where everyone has failed, their actions will be met with more acceptance. It will never be accepted in the purest form (cos it is dodgy) but somewhat it will be accepted. Think about it this way - if Ajmal was cleared in this test, how many of us would say his action is completely fine? Hardly any of us would. We would say he is fine according to the rules but his action is dodgy in the purest sense. Same case is applied to guys like Ojha. That does not automatically mean both their actions are equally bad. Reg Hafeez - Some Pak posters say he could be reported with these new rules. Some say he has improved his action over the last 6 months. I don't know.

This is the worst picture you can find on ojha, that to not even in a match. pragyan-ojha-2009-7-1-17-21-16.jpg Hafeez who has not been tested despite playing in alongside Ajmal. 4260127.jpg ajmal Saeed-Ajmal-Action.jpg Ojha's action just isn't any where near as bad as ajmal. If he was playing he wouldn't be reported. And conspiracy theorist would wine.

I just said Ojha's action is not the same as Ajmal. If he doesn't get reported, fine. If he gets reported and clears it, fine. Watching Ojha bowl in matches doesn't give you a feeling that his action is clean. Its not in the league of Ajmal but its not clean either. A lot of Indians feel the same way.

Shows how hyped a bowler he was, despite his impressive records. He was a late bloomer, probably he wasn't chucking back then and so could never become good enough to make the team. He rose to prominence suddenly at the age of 30, probably this was the time he had discovered the art of throwing. Now take out his chucking, and I believe he will be half the bowler he was.

Ajmal's bend is NOT at all a problem. I can bend how much ever I want and still be legal. Its about the angle of straightening that is the issue.
What I am beginning to think is that, while technically speaking the straightening angle is the issue, bending almost always coexists with straightening. Only a small percentage of the bowlers who bend can bowl without straightening. If a bowler appears to chuck to the naked eye, the chances are pretty high that he is straightening as well. The ICC has taken us for a ride in the past, by using technology to protect bowlers with illegal action rather than using technology to expose them.

In a completely un-related news. Murali was seen driving to the temple with 800 coconuts in his trunk. -- "Thank God, all this started after I retired" ! What a let off ! The biggest black dot on ICC's forehead is M-U-R-A-L-I

Guys take a look at this video. See from the 30th second onwards: pCNHYBAiyiQ Murali is one of those guys who can deliver a ball without fully straightening his arm. Yes his arms straighten but his wrists get a lot of work done. He had some crazy rotating wrists. To be honest, I don't see much elbow extension in this video when viewing his action from the front end (see the video from the 30th sec). Comments please.
