My squad of 15 for the WC:- First XI:-Rahane,Dhawan,Kohli,Rohit,Raina,Dhoni,Jadeja,Ashwin,BK,Shami,Aaron. Reserves:-Rayudu,Rishi,Karn,Umesh. I will not pick an extra keeper Rayudu can do the job.I'll rather pick Rishi as a seam bowling all-rounder.So Samson misses out.I'll pick Umesh over Mohit on Aussie tracks.I'll also pick Karn over Mishra for his all-round abilities.Rayudu has done well so no room for Kedar to come in right now.We should try the youngsters in the WI ODI series.Guys like Samson,Karn,Kedar,Aksar,Rasool,Rishi,Bumrah & the guys that performed in the A team should get a look in.

Binny > rishi. Both their bowling is crap. Binny can score quick runs can be used as pinch hitter while rihi is geniune no 8/9 no better then bhuvi as far as scoring quick runs is concerned. I would rather have a 5 th bowler who can bowl 8-10 overs almost always then having these two. Only chance for rishi is if he bowls 135+with lot of variations & learns to bowl at the death. Bumrah,ishwar are out of the equation. Aaron better then umesh in SF. Not much to choose between ashwin & karn. Ashwin is better slip fielder while karn is the better slogger. I feel kedar is better then rayudu. Though both would make it in my squad.

Yes rishi may be slightly better bowler then binny but the difference is not significant enough especially considering flat pitches & 3 men on the boundary, to overlook binny's much superior ability with the bat. Besides at no.8 you require someone to score a quick 25(15) type of innings which i dont think rishi can do. That being said binny should never be in a WC squad & Rishi has to do a lot of work to get into the squad

Opening with Rahane & Dhawan seems to be an good option.Rahane is doing a better job than Rohit,I'd rather have him batting at no.4.So Rahane,Dhawan, Kohli,Rohit are my top 4,I'll have Raina at 5,MS at 6 & Jadeja at 7.Then pick the right bowlers for the occasion.Play a seam-bowling allrounder at 8 if it's a spicy pitch or Ashwin for a flat deck.My choice would be Rishi plus 3 seamers in BK, Shami & any 1 of Umesh/Aaron.Rayudu,Karn & Samson are my reserves.

Why is Karn picked ahead of Amit Mishra? Mishra is injured, not dropped. I'd surely want him in the XV as a second spinner. In fact, I'd pick him ahead of Ashwin in the playing XI. Sadly, Dhoni won't Shami, Bhuvi, Mohit (unfortunately), Umesh/Ishant and Aaron should be the fast bowlers... I would ideally have Bhuvi or Mohit play in the XI, but not both... Mohit should play when Bhuvi is rested.... Agree on the first XI except Mishra.Ashwin is a better batsman,better bowler in form & a less poorer fielder between the 2.The choice should be between Karn & Mishra for the reserve spinner spot.

Get the feeling that Australian pitches are more suited for a wrist spinner than a finger spinner... Mishra might be more effective than Ashwin...

Mohit Sharma and Dhawal Kulkarni have done well in Aus A series and they need more chances. Varun Aaron, Ishwar Pandey, Bumrah should be given games to see if they are good enough. Perhaps we need one leggie like Karn Sharma, Yuzvendar Chahal or Shreyas Gopal.
