JaFanatic Posted September 20, 2014 Posted September 20, 2014 You can't defend his strike rate' date=' he is an Indian version of Misbah , he will tuk tuk his way and build pressure and then get out while slightly improving his strike rate, useless innings[/quote'] Exactly he is our own version of misbah who would bat for time blocking not losing wk for a while but its just his style doesn fit in our odi while we have better options p.s. Not at all saying he is on par with misbah just his approach seems similar to misbah's
kira Posted September 20, 2014 Posted September 20, 2014 If you watched the match you would know was going after the bowler after a scratchy start the intent was clear and he was getting boundaries at the right time but got out at the wrong time. On the other side Dhoni's batting didn help him either he was under extra pressure due to Dhoni typical cool batting This is the type of illusion Misbah has created in the padosis team, you think he did his best but the fact is his scratchy start was the sole reason so much pressure was build up and unlike dhoni he couldn't compensate in the end, people need to see his reality, if he can't rotate the strike and maintain a healthy strike rate at the beginning of the innings then he has no place in the team
JaFanatic Posted September 20, 2014 Posted September 20, 2014 Also note that I have already proved that Akshar patel and Bhajji are better IPL bats than this joker:giggle: Dont get the joke.

Not at all saying he is on par with misbah just his approach seems similar to misbah's lol Misbah is a joke too, on par lol, both are pathetic, misbah might be slightly less pathetic that is all and Misbah style of batting has no place in any team in the world

kira Posted September 20, 2014 Posted September 20, 2014 Thats what I am saying too he has no place in the Indian team. Good, I hope the selectors also understand this and get rid of this abomination quickly

kira Posted September 20, 2014 Posted September 20, 2014 For a batting line up like Pakistan's or wi etc he is surely a valuable player but his efforts can be easily overshadowed when he plays against a team like s.a ind australia or even england cos of the standard in their batting line up That is what he wants them to believe, he is a cunning man, he knows the top order is crap and will fall easily , thus he will have his excuse to play slowly. He is the captain and should take the responsibility by batting at no. 3 but he won't do that cause he knows that he will be exposed. He has no value and as long as he is in the team the Padosis will suffer:giggle: , they will suffer without him too but that suffering would be less :haha:
kubrickian Posted September 20, 2014 Posted September 20, 2014 You need a batsman who can play solid cricket in the middle who can defend and build partnerships. We have enough hitters in Dhawan, Kohli, Raina, Dhoni, Rohit etc. If you stack up your side with only hitters, if conditions are a bit tough for batting they will 20/4 in no time and they can't put up a good score to defend. Especially in Australia, conditions could be helpful for bowlers, so you need a couple of batsmen like Rahane and Rayudu.

aceofbase Posted September 20, 2014 Posted September 20, 2014 Rayudu is rated highly not only by indian team management but also Sachin, Kumble ,Ravi Shastri, John Wright etc..He is not a regular in the first 11..Only when one of the top 4 get injured then he walks in...Other the top 4 are rohit dhawan virat and rahane....

We have seen the best of Hackadu and he is simply not good enough

On the other side Dhoni's batting didn help him either he was under extra pressure due to Dhoni typical cool batting Yeah he improved but it was always poor. He hit some fours later but it was not enough RRR was always increasing Dhoni had just com in. You expect the set batsman to attack

We have seen the best of Hackadu and he is simply not good enough Whoa Whoa Whoa Whoa what in the hell did i just read.......People really think Kedhar Jadhavs and some other domestic Tees Maar Khans are the answers to all prayers....are we kidding ourselves :hysterical: ROhit Sharma has a ODI 200 and I repeat- 2 0 0 IN A 5 0 over game against A U S T R A L I A If you want to argue for the sake of arguing, can't say much...Put Kedar Jadhav or any Domestic bully who you beleive to be the savior on the flattest of flattest Pattas against Bangladesh or Zimbabwe in the opening slot and give him 10 chances.... no one and I repeat no one who has seen cricket will back them to get even a 100,may be 1 out of 10 chances they may come off against those teams but a 200 you think really?
maniac Posted September 20, 2014 Posted September 20, 2014 As far as Rayudu goes the guy is good, yes may not be a super talented guy but put's his head down and a honest cricketer.....In a Team with all the big hitters there is a slot for such a player....the guy was just scoring for fun against England in overseas conditions. Averages nearly in the 40's and still at the beginning of his career....will take it for now.
JaFanatic Posted September 20, 2014 Posted September 20, 2014 Yeah he improved but it was always poor. He hit some fours later but it was not enough RRR was always increasing Dhoni had just com in. You expect the set batsman to attackHe was fine after he got set scoring a boundary or a six every over its just that he was out at the wrong time. As for Dhoni he was batting too slow even for a new batsman on that situation almost like a test match while chasing that huge total and still we're here complaining the best performer with the bat who is yet to cement his place in the team.
