Will MS Dhoni follow Kapil Dev and play 2019 World Cup?

Dhoni will be 33 in WC 2015 and for 2019 he will be 37. He will have to decline very badly to not play in England 2019. I even think he might play 2023. He will be 41. Look at Misbah he is 40+ Afridi is 37-38 Younis Khan is 39-40 Mahela is 37

I don't think he is going anywhere until 2019... He will retire from Tests after WC 2015, but continue to play ODIs and T20 (unfortunately)

No he wont.. By then india whould have lost all thier oversees tests,will be @ rank 5 or 6.would have lost the test championship in england(if it takes place).MSD would have faced enough mocking that he would have quit.

^ +100 Dhoni, a hack is a joke... With an average of 55, I can't see anybody doing better in ODIs... His recent form affirms this... In fact, I would go a step further to say Kapil was the one with one match-winning innings of 175 in his entire career... But all my comments are for ODIs only... In tests and T20 Intl, Dhoni is meh...

In test matches Kapil was clearly a better batsman. He has test hundreds everywhere outside sub-continent in Australia, England, WI and SA. Dhoni has nowhere. In tests, it is not even comparison. Kapil miles ahead of Dhoni. In ODI's probably you can still make a case for Dhoni. But Kapil was one of it's kind ODI batsman. In that era he had a strike rate of 95 which is much better than Dhoni's strike rate (89) from current era. I would agree on wicketkeeping part Dhoni would be better than Kapil as we don't know how Kapil would have done as batsman.

To be ATG means you need to be great test player. Sewhag was, dhoni is not. In fact dhoni is mediocre test match player at best. But dhoni fanbtaics don't get that and seem to go ga ga over IPL csk performances and base that as meaning ATG :hysterical: He is horrible test keeper and poor test bat as shown by his pathetic batting overseas. In summary no were near an ATG and much nearer to being a hack

And who told you that? Just because you think, is it? ATG stands for all time great. So you think greatness can only be accessed by test irrespective of how good xyz player performed in limited overs cricket? Say Kohli went on to become the highest run getter in ODI's and remain a mediocre test player as he is today, will you not considered him as great?
