Do we really need the 'doosra'?

So now the king cheats Ajmal, Senanayake, Gazi, Narine and Utseya are banned, the 'doosra' is on the way out, because it is impossible to bowl without chucking, with the possible exception of Saqlain Mustaq, who even he may be suspect. Some stupid people say the doosra should be legalized because it raises the challenge for the batsman, but since Mendis/Herath invented the carrom ball, which Ashwin has made even better why do we need this cheater ball doosra? The offspinner how has three variations: the off break, the arm ball and the carrom ball. They do not need a cheating ball.

Well doosra can be bowled cleanly, though it might not be as effective as the chucking doosra.

I guess what I meant is should bowlers bother with this it seems that most doosra bowlers are getting banned, but carrom ball bowlers who don't have a doosra like Mendis and Ashwin are not - surely the carrom ball should be a better variation for Offies to use?

well, with proper training and hard work, a talented bowler can do it with ease. Sadly the cricketers need quick results which is why they resort to chucking.

I have no problem in chucking when they bowl doosra because it cannot be bowled without chucking. It also makes it easier for batsmen to read it, but when they start chucking their pehla then it is a problem.
