Was clarified earlier by a BCCI official that their issue is with the WICB, and not their players. Don't think it really matters if its the players decision to back off, as at the end of the day it's the board that is answerable.

BCCI wanted the striking players to play only & lose. They told to WI that they don't want their A team..since the players in their 'A' team will give 100% and hurt some of our players big ego & pride (which is not hurt if their main team woops our ASS by white washing us)
