No...he will let the captain take a call if he is not able to accelerate and get to his hundred in time,without making it a huge issue . He is the vice captain of the team and a senior player, so he is happy playing his "own game" till the captain makes a decision and continue in his merry ways? The captain sent his message many overs back asking him to accelerate and prompt declaration which he didn't listen to.

He did what he was able to do.....He is not really known to score quick runs .....his strength is not scoring fast. The same dada who apologised to Tendulkar was able to take the decision to declare without even thinking what Dravid would feel or say because he knew it would not be an issue with Dravid.That is the difference.

What exactly is wrong in letting Sachin having a chance to score the 200 by allowing for one more over? We still had 15+ overs left in the day. Couple of swings against Akthar would have got him there.Its not like he needed 20-30 runs

Dravid got out reverse sweeping when on 275 in Pakistan when 300 hundred was there for the taking But he was playing at his own for a century? Very believable lol

Sachin was scoring freely against Aktar as well. So giving Sachin one more over vs Akthar and bowling 13 overs wouldn't have been that much issue
