Aussies dropped 5-6 catches,that is why India crossed 350....The main difference is, this time one opener is doing well.

Dravid had a good record in Australia as well. Averaged 41 there with a knock of 233 which helped India win a test at Adelaide and several other important knocks. Both Dravid and Laxman had a dreadful 2011 tour which explains their dip in averages, otherwise they had a great time against Aus.
Not good for his level. One good tour out of four masks his otherwise average performance there. Series averages of 15.5, 123.8, 33.85, 24.24 is not Dravid standard, especially given that the 2003 series did not feature McGrath. Dravid wasn't successful in Australia due to two reasons - he wasn't as good against bounce as he was against swing/seam. Dravid looked solid in both SA and Australia, actually he did not play badly there though his stats don't look that good for a player of his stature. But he played too slow, and in these countries an unplayable ball would get you out however good you are. Stroke makers like Laxman and Sachin made more runs in Aus and SA because they scored at every opportunity and piled on the runs. In the same time Dravid would make a 50, Sachin could get a 100 - hence the differences in their averages in Aus and SA.

I get your point but not your logic. Wouldn't an unplayable ball be just as likely to occur in swinging/seaming conditions? I would attribute it more to the bowlers in those 2 countries more than the conditions. McGrath, Donald, Lee, Pollock, Warne, Steyn, etc.

Plus Dharwan early- luckily Dharwan is in terrible form, and Rahane early off Lyon (Haddin should have at least attempted)

It would. But two factors saved Dravid in places like England - 1) his technique against the moving ball 2) English bowlers were never as fast or as good as Oz and SA bowlers - if England had a Donald, McGrath or Steyn, now that would have been one hell of a challenge to play in England. Dravid actually scored faster in England than he did in Aus/SA. His strike rates were 45 in England; 40 in Aus; 37 in SA; If you are scoring at a S/R of less than 40, you can't make a lot of runs in Aus/SA due to the difficult playing conditions as well as better bowlers. Many batsman who played since 1990, and were successful in Aus/SA had strike rates in the range 50-60 here. There were some exceptions like Nasser Hussain though.

Thats complete rubbish In 2011 broad and jimmy were easily 90miles and in 2002 the attack of hoggard,flintoff,harmisson,jones which would go to become lethal .Dravid was good in england because he was dam good player.He was good in as too at perth of all places he won us a match.
