thecricketer Posted December 31, 2014 Posted December 31, 2014 KARACHI: Pakistani star all-rounder Shahid Afridi has termed South Africa, Australia and New Zealand as World Cup (WC) favorites, which is scheduled to start in February 2015 in the Down Under, ARY News reported. Addressing a gathering in the city, the Pakistani cricketer said World Cup’s first match was always important. “We will change the history in first match against India,” said Afridi. A match between India and Pakistan, he said, is always played in a pressure situation. http://arynews.tv/en/pakistan-will-change-history-wc-match-india-afridi/ lol...
tweaker Posted December 31, 2014 Posted December 31, 2014 Afridi should talk of winning the WC,instead of defeating India.Afridi knows Pakistani fans cherish India 's defeat more than anything
Lord Posted December 31, 2014 Posted December 31, 2014 Ajmal said the same a while back,we know what happened
Raghav_12 Posted December 31, 2014 Posted December 31, 2014 Saeed Ajmal was the first one who wanted to do this :-)
Debutant Posted December 31, 2014 Posted December 31, 2014 The streak has to end some day but why these big talks before the match
vijay50 Posted December 31, 2014 Posted December 31, 2014 History wont change. For history to change Pak should beat India in 6 world cups, which will take another 50 years in WC, if its still there.
Kalia_Test Posted December 31, 2014 Posted December 31, 2014 LOL...this shows how much buthrt the Pakistani public are and how much their record against us in WC pains them...If it needed bird brain Afridi to apply burnol on their backsides, the wounds must run deep and the Pakistani public must be in deep mental agony all these years...:hysterical: For us, it is just a game..streak has to end some day...we will be upset for a day or two ( as we do after any loss in a major trophy ) but will move on...
-Robin- Posted December 31, 2014 Posted December 31, 2014 this streak will break Undertaker's streak record :hitler:

CSK Fan Posted December 31, 2014 Posted December 31, 2014 These statements are the only thing which makes these victories sweet. Otherwise it is just another victory for us. Akhtar's statement in 2003, is just an example
AmreekanDesi Posted December 31, 2014 Posted December 31, 2014 they don't learn their lesson. how many wc defeats to india has afridi been part of now? 1999,2003,2007 twice, 2011, 2012. :yay:
Old guy Posted December 31, 2014 Posted December 31, 2014 they don't learn their lesson. how many wc defeats to india has afridi been part of now? 1999,2003,2007 twice, 2011, 2012. :yay: You missed a few .
Guldozer Posted December 31, 2014 Posted December 31, 2014 they don't learn their lesson. how many wc defeats to india has afridi been part of now? 1999,2003,2007 twice, 2011, 2012. :yay: And how many time has Indian been thrashed since 1952? I would take 60 years of dominance over 5-0 in the World Cup anyday. You can say world cup wins are more important as much as you like to make yourself feel better but at the end of the day a world cup match is also useless unless you actually go on to win the world cup. India did that once, after 59 years of cricket. Congratulations to you.
