Sounds like a fair call to have all four in the squad You need an extra batsman more than an extra spinner. I doubt Binny is going to play. He played one match in NZ as an after thought. You need 5 specialist seamers at least. Dhoni will play two spinners all the time. Aaron isnt picked even for triseries is pathetic. Kulkarni is a poor selection because he brings nothing as a bowler. Ishant is unfit. BK is unfit, was struggling even today with ankle.

What worries me more than Binny's selection is the fitness of fast bowlers... With Ishant and Bhuvi injured, I really wonder if four fast bowlers in the squad are enough...

Pick Vijay, Dhawan, Rohit, Rayudu (and the other regular four) in the tri-series... Remove one of them based on the tri-series performance...

I really don't get the hate against Rayadu Got a couple of chances in England scored 50 both times. Was one of our best player in both WI and Srl series. If not for stupid Kohli running him out he would 3 centuries to his name Averages 45 with the bat. Almost performed every time given a chance
someone Posted January 6, 2015 Posted January 6, 2015 Don't like the selection of a total of 7 batsman (including Dhoni). We should have gone in with 8 batsman in the squad. At the end of the day, our batting is what will define us in WC. Would have preferred an additional batsman in squad. In 2011, we also had 8 batsman with either Raina/Pathan as the 7th. And, I would still rather play 7 + 4 combination. What's the use of another specialist spinner? Our part time bowlers like Raina/Rohit are decent enough and will offer much better batting options.
