AmreekanDesi Posted January 7, 2015 Posted January 7, 2015 One of the more disappointing aspects of this tour has been that we have been given flat pattas. I was really looking forward to seeing Aaron, Yadav and even Ishant and Shami use their pace on some fast, bouncy pitches. Last time we got a typical WACA wicket but had to use Vinay Kumar on it :(( :(( How do you think these guys would have done on the fatser pitches. I know that everyone is criticizing the fast bowlers but their performances has not been much worse than the Ozzie ones who are definitely more experienced and used to the conditions and not to say rated higher. I feel that we have come up against some good batters (warner, smith etc) and dealt flat pattas, Its not as bad as it seems
kruiser Posted January 7, 2015 Posted January 7, 2015 a leg side full-toss will remain just that.. whatever pitch it is!
G_B_ Posted January 7, 2015 Posted January 7, 2015 a lot better than what they did but would our batsman have coped? Thats the answer. You would need a Rahane esque innings at lords to be competitive.

rkt.india Posted January 7, 2015 Posted January 7, 2015 They need to learn to bowl on flat tracks. Bad bowling is bad bowling irrespective of the pitch.
rajmarie Posted January 7, 2015 Posted January 7, 2015 They need to learn to bowl on flat tracks. Bad bowling is bad bowling irrespective of the pitch. Exactly. Specially Indian bowlers who get mostly flat track back home anyway. Its just that the way they bowl shows that they don't have any plans.....or are simply not fit to carry out the plans. Non of the bowlers had shown that they can bowl in Test. Look at Australia bowlers. They may have lost a session or two to India...but they always seems to be bowling to a plan...each bowler looks like they know what they want to do. Atleast bowl one side of the wicket consistently. Our bowlers cant even do that.

Pagalpanti Posted January 7, 2015 Posted January 7, 2015 They got Gabba, they leaked runs at 5 rpo. Perth has more bounce but Gabba is quicker. If they couldn't make impact here, they'd have done jack in WACA.
