Let's see what we WERE missing: 1) One opener - Dhawan's 20s and an occasional 50 mean nothing. 2) A solid No.3 who scored big 3) A No. 6 who could bowl, or at least BAT. 4) A keeper-batsman capable of making more than 20s. 5) Not one, but FOUR wicket-taking bowlers. If we had all these, we could have won against them.

That said and I'll say it again, I am far from convinced on Hawkeye projection ball path. Everything else is fine, I am halrdly convinced on the last part. It was hardly a howler!

Are you saying that just because of DRS is available, on field umpires have zero responsibility? 12-2. That says a lot, dude. But, well there's a system to get it done correct...

I think DRS should be used. Even if it is not always accurate, as long as the success rate is better than umpires...its usage has merit. That being said....umpires today don't follow some golden rules of umpiring. -- The benefit of doubt goes to the batsman. -- Don't give lbws easily if the ball hits the batsman a long distance away from the stumps...because it may deviate or bounce higher than the stumps. This is increasing the howlers...like the one Rahane got today. It really is inexcusably poor umpiring because of the above reasons.

Rahul, Mooli (who has been released from DD i think), Rahane , Che (again i think has been released) Kohli can all play for their county teams.

G_B_ Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 and i think its become a lot harder in general for south asian players to get into the counties. As a result of the south african kolpaks etc the vacancies are limited at best. So it might be best to send India A in for a full tour.
