Know your offstump! Know your offstump, and patiently leave the balls if its going outside off. ONE of the many things an opener needs. M. Vijay does that well. Do we have one more opener who can do that and partner him? Who? (Its not Hackwan) - who else can partner MV in future series??? This 50 run opening partnership (in away tour) has come AFTER 35 test innings. Can you believe it? After 35 test innings. We have been THAT bad! So - who else? to partner MV and knows where the offstump is

Seriously, Vijay should coach the rest of the batting line up. Through sheer determination and patience he has survived and played so many long innings. Time for the the batters to show the same level of dedication.

Are Ravindra Jadeja or Bhuvneshwar (when not inj), or Rishi Dhawan better than Nohit? Are Ravindra Jadeja or Bhuvneshwar (when not injured), or Rishi Dhawan better than Nohit? They can bowl (esp BK or RD can bowl medium pace), and can bat atleast equal to Nohit in Tests. Or go for KL Rahul or any other new longformat batsman??

I will give Rohit this full series. Another two test and see how he does on whole tour. We will not be playing any overseas test cricket for a while since we have already toured aus, sa, eng and nz in the same year. So this shows that we have lot of home test natches coming in next 2 years. If Rohit averages 40 at the end of this series, I will pick him in the home tests, if not then.we need to tell him to go back and score more in donestic and we need to find a replacement for him.
