BeautifulGame Posted January 18, 2015 Posted January 18, 2015 The C word will haunt them again. Although this team is stronger than any they have had in the last 2-3 WCs. 2003 definitely and even 2011 Squad were stronger IMO Having Kallis as genuine AR makes a big difference .

SA favourites in 99 - 1 run needed...Donald forgot run SA 2nd fav in 03 - Miscalculated the DL score :facepalm: SA 2nd fav in 07 - Hayden McGrath blown them in semis (was expected) :agree: SA 2nd fav in 11 - Heavy fav against Kiwis in semis but Southee blown them :whine: SA favourite again in 15 - whats in store this time? :nervous:
Cricketics Posted January 19, 2015 Posted January 19, 2015 03, wasn't just about miscalculating the DL. They also couldn't defend their might 300 total against NZ. Stephen Fleming was unstoppable and played a brilliant knock and eventually rain came down and NZ had a better run rate. Fleming smashed the hell out of South African bowling attack who were supposed to be a big deal going into the world cup. South Africa didn't really perform to their best of abilities in 03. I think this was their worst performance even though they were playing at home. They played far better in 1992,96, 199, 07, 2011. Even the first match of the world cup 2003, with all the hype of home team to win the world cup for the first time, South Africa just lost it's way to Windies.
