If I am correct insurgency in Pakistan started in 2008, no? I heard on CNN. Sadly solving insurgency can take many years. I understand from news and friends that the state has now moved militarily in areas near Afghanistan. Obviously terrorist groups will cause blow back. Sadly the security cannot be at all places. Beating terrorist cells in cities is much harder than wiping out groups from held territory. It takes police/intelligence work and patience. My country went through 26 years of this hurt. My own family was impacted - I moved to UK during those sad and black times. Pakistan must weed out radical preachers who spread hate AND reign in any bad security operatives who have backed some terrorists - even if those are not anti your own state. All Lankans feel this pain. We have been there and seen it. Stay strong, stay united and do not let terrorist break the common bonds. One day I hope to see my team play Pakistan in peace and safety in Pakistan. It may be awhile. Perhaps by 2020 eh?

Really unfortunate. There was hardly any celebration on Pakistani TV channels for qualifying to the quarter finals yesterday just because of this event. So anybody who thinks no one in Pakistan cares about this need to get their head checked. By the way Kalia, what did you do with your life when there was no terrorism in Pakistan? How did you manage to spend your day back then?

Not encountered so far so will let you know when I do :two_thumbs_up: Why did your backside burn when I posted an incident in Pakistan when you are ready to jump always on rape in India, nun, etc. Looks like your holier than thou attitude and giving sermons to Indians looked idiotic... troll

Please show me where I have jumped onto 'rape in India' and I'll admit I'm wrong and a troll. The only times I've mentioned rape in India is to show you and others the mirror. And please also tell me how often these blasts used to take place in Pakistan before 9/11.

This is not the place for arguments as we are mourning for the departed souls who are victims of barbarity.
