Is it just me or was the quality of the game today not that good? Batting from both sides at least in my eyes was a massive letdown.
Batting was dog sh1t,most of them threw their wkts.only starc, boult(even though most wkts were gifted) and cummins looked potent

Lol why should the umpire give it not out in the first place? That looked pretty okay' date='u are so butthurt that u can't even give credit to the black caps[/quote'] Actually it was a brilliant decision by the umpire, reading a margin of so close correctly. I agree Warner was unlucky as most umpires won't give that.

Majority of the thrilling matches are bit low on quality.very rarely we get the SA vs OZ Semi match in 99 WC.

WTF? The game was an absolute nail biter. What a comeback by Aussies (read Starc) and it went down to the last pair, what are u smokin brah ? It was a quality game, no two thoughts about it. But yes, the batting of both the sides were a let down, it wasn't a 150 odd pitch, it was a decent 280-290 pitch with an addition of 30-40 more for the short boundaries.
I agree it was a nail biter and a great adv for ODI cricket etc but it was a low quality nail biter. Batsmen were cr@p and many got out to nothing deliveries.

That looked pretty okay' date='u are so butthurt that u can't even give credit to the black caps[/quote'] Crap, he didn't even think about it, professional umpires are taught to look where the ball hit and the stance of the batsmen, Warner was in the air and it hit above the roll, and the ump had his finger up before the ball even hit almost, it was a horrendous decision, if he took his time and called it out I could live with that, but the fact is he didn't.

How do you know what hawkeye showed was correct ? It was within margin allowed so original decision stood ..

It think it was a marginal call and definitely not a howler. Warner didn't help himself by crouching as if it had low bounce either I think

I thought he was talking about some other decision ...:hysterical: wtf is wrong with people :hysterical:

Fact is there's no way known that umpire thought it through, as I said (and watch the replay) he had his finger up almost before the ball even hit the pad, DRS saved him by a millimetre.

Mate, it hit the bails by a coat of varnish, it was a howler and it had a major impact on the game. I know umpires make mistakes, but this guy didn't even think about it.

Fact is only that according to Drs there was good chance he was out more than 50 percent and umpire felt same so it's not howler ...in fact australia wasted review and were dumb to use it on marginal call . I don't care what umpire thought or did even with Drs it was close enough to be out .

You obviously have no idea show Drs works . It's not 100 percent accurate and my fake "mate" it hit enough that decision could not be reversed in simple terms it was not howler so stop whining.

Very true, there is always a margin of error in the image by ~1 cm. The system was right in giving it as "Umpire's Call". However, it was too close for the umpire to give out so certainly.

It's correct decision and more than half of Drs reviews are based on umpire's call .

It's not the outcome I'm pissed off about, it's the way the ump gave it out, unless his brain is a super computer he didn't think it through, watch the replay and tell me the ump gave any benefit to the batsman, tell me he thought of ways why it wasn't out, fact is you won't find that because the umpire in question is a FKN muppet. I've seen Yorkers on middle given out quick, but mate this took the cake, especially considering it wasn't out. These guys are paid well, when a guy is in the air and hit above the roll surely a second or 2 of thought is required lol.

Forget DRS. We are not talking about that. If it is too close to give it out or not out, you always give it not out. Benefit of doubt isn't practiced much nowzdays but it obviously should have beeen in this case.

Benefit of doubt is there when there is a doubt which was not the case it's lbw under current laws and technology gave no evidence against it . How is there any doubt he was lbw when hawkeye itself shows more than 50 percent of ball hit ? :hysterical:

Read your older post, you're contradicting yourself. You said the DRS image is off by a bit and now you are using it as evidence. There was no doubt? :hysterical: No one could have certainly said that was out.
