The barometer for what is a good score in 50 overs is fast becoming a function of the quality of bowlers in your side and less to do with the opposition, pitch, conditions, batsmanship etc. If you have a Starc or Boult in your side 250 looks tough to chase. Four clones with no variation or pace and suddenly 350 isn't enough.

brendan07 Posted March 3, 2015 Posted March 3, 2015 Don't hate him in test cricket. Hate changing the ODI side for a bloke who is clearly unfit. Clarke has one of the biggest ego's in Australian cricket, every bloke knows it, it is half the reason Lehmann was brough in, he has been able to calm Clarke's ego down somewhat. However his ego has still allowed him to claim he was fit in the 1st test against India, against Pakistan in the UAE series (playing unfit) and in the ODI against India. I blame him, but for the record I blame CA medical staff as well. Honestly, I would have picked Shaun Marsh. In form and a gun short form cricketer. Bailey is fine too. We don't need Clarke waltzing in at 60% fitness.
