This is how I see it: Mar 18th - SA vs SL This could well turn out to be a bat first win the game scenario. For a change, SA has a better spinner in Tahir than SL's. However, SA's tendency to crumble under pressure is proven. Winner of this game might make its way to the final as NZ's chances of having a bad game increases (law of averages) and winner of this game would start as a fav if it is playing WI Mar 19th - BD vs. Ind BD is peaking at the right time. While Ind's ability to recover after losing early wkts is a suspect against quality attacks and/or in high pressure games. Rain could be a factor too in this game so the winning captain may elect to chase and therefore put his team in "chasing under pressure" scenario. A good chance of an upset Mar 20th - Aus vs. Pak Aus is in top form. While Pak is putting the pieces together. However, Aus bowling+fielding gives it an advantage. Pak has struggled against quality teams and bad fielding could compound its problems. Pak will have to have a great game or Aus a bad one for Pak to advance. Aus hot favorite Mar 21st - NZ vs. WI WI is pathetic. However, it has players such as Gayle, Charles, Russel, Sammy, etc. who on their day can be brutal. Depending upon which WI turns up, the possibility of an upset exists

SL if recover from injuries I'd say are still very good at the chase. Nanga only scored at 100 SR still they looked quite good at one point against Starc and co at the same ground chasing 375. Anything below 300 SL will be 60-40 favorites in my opinion.

South Africa have got a better pace attack than Australia. Aussies were dependent on Starc and Faulkner is in after an injury. South Africa have world class experienced bowlers in the form of Steyn, Morkel and Philander. Tahir has been a decent leg spinner in the tournament as well. The SCG track will assist him definitely. The main problem with SAF will be the fifth bowling option. I hope they play Abbott instead of Behardien and take the risk of playing an extra bowler because if they are weak anywhere, its the 5th bowling option. Cannot afford to see ABDV, Duminy and co. getting smashed by Lankans FTB in a KO game. Amla Rossouw FAF ABDV Miller Duminy Steyn Abbott Philander Morkel Tahir De Kock has been very ordinary in this tournament, its better if they replace him with an extra bowler and strengthen the 5th bowling option.
