I would never rate mahela as a legend in ODIs. Sanga on the other hand is a ATG. Tier 1 stuff.

Did sanga kind of loose it ? I didnt watch the match till the end. But I watched first 12 overs sanga was very slow in batting. Was he chasing the milestone and lost the cup for lanka.

Both are legends of their country and top cricketers of the world. Well done to both of them. Sri Lankan cricket will move on but replacing these guys in test side will be a big ask. Sri Lanka's test cricket dominance in Sri Lanka was thanks to these guys and Murali. Now all three are gone and it's going to be interesting to see how Matthews forge his team. Congrats to Jayawardene and Sangakara for great careers.
