He may have said that buddy but I have definitely seen him being biased towards India during an Indo-Pak game. What does that make of him? As for his commentary skills, its terrible. Sounds like this term is handed out too easily. Any specific examples on why everyone says Manjrekar has inferiority complex? He didn't give credit to Kane Williamson too.

sensible-indian Posted March 21, 2015 Posted March 21, 2015 I remember in his initial days as Commentator he used to bring nothing new to the table and used to just support the points raised by other commentators and used to be diplomatic. Maybe someone gave him advice or he got an Eurerka moment from which he wanted to get an identity for himself as someone who 'calls a spade a spade'. In the end he has become a pessimistic commentator who talks mostly about the negatives of individuals or the game in general thinking he is being an unbiased commentator. Just in the recent QF game NZ vs WI when Williamson was batting they were showing that Williamson has the second highest batting average after Viv Richards for some period. It was shown as 60 innings for Williamson where he had an average around 58. Immediately Manju brushed aside the stats saying it was a very small sample size of around 30 tests only (???). Why would anyone show test stats in World Cup, Manju did not even think about that. He then realised that these were ODI stats after some commentator pointed out but still did not want to applaud Williamson's efforts and so remained quiet. Just a simple sample of how his mind has become tuned to undermine other's performance, even for a promising young lad like Williamson. Very interesting post bud. Any examples of him talking negative of others? Barring SRT digs and this Kane Williamson episode. Haha.

Then Manjrekar got kicked out after Dada and Dravid emerged. Manjrekar used to borrow a lot of money from Sachin and never returned it back. One day SRT eventually refused. After that Manjrekar started writing crap about him. :cantstop:

After the test series loss he was discussing with Damien Martyn about defensive strategies Indian fast bowlers should adopt like not bowling too fast and trying to contain runs so that India at least can draw a test match instead of losing it.

I think once he asked Dravid about why he was getting bowled so much in the end of his career. He said you even got bowled at Lords in the MCC vs RoW match 2014. What a moron. :hysterical:
