I don't think there is much wrong with his technique. More that he failed mentally in a crunch situation. His record in ICC knockouts is quite abysmal already.

His performance has definitely been bad, and considering how much India relies on him made it even worse. Did he not play well in WT20 and CT though? He is still India's best batsmen but it's things like these which may not let him reach Tendulkar's level.

I beg to differ a bit. It's not only mental but technical. He simply reaches out to each and every delivery bowled on the 5th stump. He can either leave them or as someone else pointed out, ride on top of the bounce for a cut if it's short enough.

Can we please stop bringing Tendulkar's name ? Truth be told, he is nowhere in the league of Tendulkar. He may go on to break a few records, but right now, in terms of batsmanship, he is not even his half. I know kids here would disagree but that's the reality.

It is an art of denying runs to induce a mistake. Kohli lot of times would connect those balls. But he was just not in the zone

dont think india is too much dependent on kohli .. surely he is our best batsmen , but others are not mugs.. tendulkar was a different story .. sachin's team never had good batsmen until 2000s unlike kohli
