Speed and performance of medium pacers, trundlers and fast bowlers in Ipl

Nathu is not a 145+ bowler. Mostly 135-140 with effort balls at 140+. But is a promising youngster and he has got a really good yorker.  He is still young and hope he has added a few yards of pace and hope he gets a chance to play.

Another bowler I am looking forward to seeing is Aaron. He has been very unlucky that he has not got a chance in ODI/T20 team after injury in ODI vs SL some 2 years back. Its strange that the fastest bowler in the country has fallen off the radar for the selectors. So this year's IPL is a great opportunity for Aaron to perform and a make a comeback into the ODI/T20 team. From his FB page he has been working hard with McGrath and hopefully he will show improvement in his accuracy and do well. But unfortunatly for Aaron he will play most of his matches in Chinnaswamy ground where edges fly off to six.

I plan to keep a serious expert watch on all indian pacers and discard those pacers who dont look to bowl 138 k at least..unless they have exceptional swinging capability I don't see them playing for india.

Also wanna see if they can mix up pace too..in t20 guys who hv more variations will suceed.

MI  vs Pune

Speed ranges of most deliveries ( excluding slower balls )

Ishant  133 k to 147 k  ( lots of 140 k + deliveries )

RP Singh  132 k to 142 k ( mostly around 135 k )

Bumrah   132 k to 141 k   ( bowled slower than he did in the T20Is  )

Vinay  127 k to 135 k  ( mostly between 128 k to 130 k  )

Ishant swung the ball both ways in his first 3 overs. Got good bounce along with pace. Picked up 2 wickets and started off the MI batting slide. His last over at the death was poor.

RP got some swing but erred in line and length. looked ordinary

Bumrah got some outswing and seam movement in his first spell.  But got hit in his 3rd over.  he got skid off the pitch as usual.

Vinay bowled a good line and length.

Pandya just bowled 4 deliveries.

KKR  vs  DD

Speed ranges of most deliveries ( excluding slower balls )

Umesh Yadav  138 k to 147 k

Umesh bowled with pace today but bowled some waist high short deliveries as usual, which got hit for runs.  He bowled a few good rising deliveries and bouncers too and mixed them with a couple of good slower deliveries in his last over. Gave away 21 runs in 3 overs.  He needs to bowl a bit better.
