More than the spot fixing fiasco, the way that buffoon Ijaz Butt conducted himself in the immediate aftermath accusing English players of being fixers, crying conspiracy and a host of other nonsense has harmed the ECB-PCB relations much more. He should have expressed gratitude to the ECB folks for allowing Pakistan's home matches to be held there in the 1st place. A dignified diplomat like Shahryar Khan would have salvaged that tricky situation for Pakistan there. Chalo jo beet gayee woh baat gayee. UAE will also be a cracking venue provided at least the attendance is above 75-80% which isn't that difficult. The pitches will call for back to the wall abrasive cricket and Pakistan will be banking on seasoned campaigners like Younis and Misbah. Even selfie, Azhar Ali, Asad Shafiq, Sarfaraz will enjoy the hospitable Indian bowling especially if it is a Patta. I expect Shami and Ashwin to be the only major threats to your batters. I am less confident about our batsmen especially their ability against quality spin bowling. Kohli hasn't exactly matched his ODI exploits in tests, Rahane is a bit underconfident against spinners, Pujara is woefully out of form and Rohit is Rohit. Only Vijay and Dhawan look ominous. Dhoni who bats well against Pak is gone:((. If the trio of Ajmal at 100%,Hafeez,Yasir play it will be a steep learning curve for us. Our previous generation was excellent against spinners but this one seems better equipped to face fast bowling. Wahab,Junaid,Rahat etc won't be too hard for us, especially since we are battle hardened against fast bowling due to our continuous away tours since 2011. Pak haven't lost a single series in UAE since 2010 and India are generally good in these flat, SC type conditions. Expect a stalemate or a narrow victory(1-0) for one of the teams.

I dont know if you guys have POTW here but this is the most high quality post i have ever read on icf. You analysed the ECB situation very well. ECB was so willing to let Pakistan have their tours there until buffon chips butt destroyed it. Then that comparisons of both teams. Tremendous stuff. T'20 they might have remote chance because hacking is only possible in 20 over game and they are good in it.
