Whatever they do -- T20, 50 overs, or Asian Test Champoinship -- these Asian tournaments are boring. SL play boring cricket, and Bangladeshis are barely able to hold a cricket bat. These 2 teams can kill any fun in a tournament like no other teams can.

He said the 2016 Asia Cup would be held early next year as a prelude to the ICC World Twenty20, with the latter to be hosted by India from March 11 to April 3. It would then revert to a 50-over tournament in 2018 ahead of the 2019 World Cup in England and be played as a Twenty20 competition again in 2020.

Apparently, it is going to alternate between T20 and ODI formats until 2020.

Its common sense .So far its been pointless tournament and boring as well Now it will at least have context .Good preparations for Asian teams before world cup .
