Hafeez cleared to bowl in international cricket!!

Mohammad Hafeez, the Pakistan allrounder, has been cleared to bowl in international cricket. His reworked action was found to be legal by results of a retest conducted in an ICC-accredited facility in Chennai on April 9.Hafeez was suspended from bowling in December last year after he was called during the first Test against New Zealand in Abu Dhabi. btw why they impose a ban on 'reporting' only? Shouldn't this be checked right away and put a ban if it gets proved as illegal...

Because 'reporting' is not just a flimsy accusation.  It is done by umpires who are fairly certain that someone is "bending" the rules.  

 

The checking is delayed to give the offender an opportunity to practice and work on a corrected action so that it becomes repeatable.  It is the logical outcome of an extended process.  

 

Btw, if Hafeez is cleared, he should probably be in their Oz test squad.  He would give better balance to the team instead of playing the likes of Sharjeel or Rizwan.  But looks like Multani Aloo has made up his mind on certain black-listed players and won't change his stubborn mind as long as he can get away with it.
