These rankings are nothing but a joke.. Only SA is deserving at No.1 and a bit of Australia at 2. Then 3 to 7 are bit crowded.One test loss or win and the tier will be chnaged. India may fall to 7 if they draw or loss the test with Bangladesh and Pakistan can come back to 3 after winning series against SL. Although India has good chance of earning points if they can beat SA at home this year!!

I am an Indian.. Didnt you see my posts where I was saying Pakistan's 3rd ranking in tests is misleading and they just don't justify them. Surely they were having orgasms after 3 rankings by saying"Test is real cricket". But who cares??Its their thinking..I think even they knew that they aren't deserving but they were consoling themselves after blunder against Bangladesh and their position in CT 2017 in danger. Anyways we have to accpet that we were not that good in tests in last four years..A loss is loss wherever either at home or away.We shouldn't be remain deluded.

It's good Pak have organised a series against Zimbabwe. They will only get better by playing sides around them. Otherwise, their confidence gets shattered playing powerhouses like Bangladesh.

I think our horrendous 8-0, Eng series loss must have been erased. We have a great chance to go to no 2 in the world over the next 3 years seeing that we play mostly in Asia and we have a set of very good players who can only get better. Aus will lose some points in the meantime, England are unpredictable,Pak will step out to Aus/Eng after many many years and Lanka will be heavily hit with many retirements. Our only pitfall might be England against whom we have psychological problems. RSA series we may lose but margin will be very less.

Why do rankings become useless, flawed etc when India climbs up the ladder? when we are ranked 7th everyone starts using the same rankings for wrist slitting, doom and gloom predictions, IPL hating etc etc Sick of such hypocrites from other countries as well as some bootlicking Indians.

I agree with your list except I would swap between Aus and NZ. NZ are better travellers, better in Asia and have more potential in their XI.Aus are devastating in Aus/NZ and piss poor everywhere else. I won't be surprised if they again go on to lose Ashes this summer. RSA is the deserving no 1.:hatsoff: Unbeaten overseas run since the 2-0 reversal at the hands of Lanka in 2006. In this era where teams generally surrender without any fight outside their home turf that streak is mindblowing. Even the mighty Aussies never went beyond 4 years unbeaten outside home(between India tour 2001 and Ashes 2005 was their longest overseas run). With the number of great players in their team for the last 10 years :hatsoff: I won't hesitate to put them among the top 5 greatest test teams of all time. Talent, passion,grit,:two_thumbs_up: They could be a bit more ruthless at home though. Unlike the mighty Aussies who whitewashed all in heir way at home the Proteas generally ahve 1-0/2-1/1-0 scorelines even against the likes of India,Lanka,WI !!!!

Lol..its not useless any day.. I was just not happy only because we climbed after our horrible series were erased not because of our performance same as Pakistan who climbed up after England's defeat... Will be really happy to see climbing India after defeating SA and SL..
