BCCI to help Afghanistan with infrastructure and home venue

BCCI secretary Anurag Thakur has said that the Indian board is willing to extend all kinds of help to Afghanistan, who want to use an Indian venue to play their matches. "Afghanistan Cricket Board has requested BCCI that they want to come and play here, use the infrastructure and also to have one venue as the Afghan venue," Thakur told PTI. "Their board has requested to create one centre in India which can be dedicated to Afghanistan cricket. The Imperial Cricket Council(where Eng/Aus ruled the roost) was in absolute power for close to 80-90 years before the Asian bloc upped it's game. During their time they undermined other countries especially India all the time, humiliating us, stamping on us, treating us like dogs etc. Pretty sure the white gentlemen didn't see any wrong with what they were doing. Ever heard of Gopalan trophy(between Tamil Nadu and Ceylon)? Ever heard of how BCCI helped Lanka develop it's infrastructure, gave exposure to their players etc during the 25 year civil war? Ask Ranatunga about how helpful India was in Lankan cricket's initial stages. What about Bangladesh? India,Pak has a great role in BD cricket development. Many Indian Ranji players played in Dhaka Club circuit in the 70s and 80s and helped in the popularization of the game there? Who gave them test status? What about Zimbabwe? Kenya? We played many tri series' with Zim/Ken in the 90s, helped their boards make serious money. As someone pointed out whenever we hosted the WC we allowed many associate teams(1996,2011). Your grouse should be with ECB, they are your neighbors, your folks play County, they poach your players, they oppose 14 team WC the most..... Stop being so petty and point out the real villains here. All your years of ass kissing the Brits has amounted to nothing, they don't want you among the elite in the cricketing world.
