Bigg Brother Posted May 23, 2015 Posted May 23, 2015 One of the best young batsman at the moment. He is only 24 yrs old. Beast in both odis and tests. Was quite ordinary in early phase in odi career because of his approach but lately he has been refreshing even in odis.. We always talk about deadly duo of Southee-Boult,Firepower batting by bazz but Williamson is silent warrior of NZ. Seriously underrated!!!!
BaisnabBengali Posted May 23, 2015 Posted May 23, 2015 No one will say he's HTB. Although he is. He didn't even performed that good against us in ODIs in BD. He's lucky that he's not from BD otherwise same Indians would call him HTB OverRated batsman.:cantstop: He's lucky that he's not from SRI otherwise same Indians would call him HTB MinnowBasher.:cantstop: Huh..INDIANS :cantstop:

f.b.m Posted May 23, 2015 Posted May 23, 2015 He spends every waking moment ruing the fact that he is not half as good as the great Mominul Haque.
BeautifulGame Posted May 23, 2015 Posted May 23, 2015 Before the test match against England KW average 18 in Aus 11 in SA 20 in Eng Will be interesting today to see how good his technique is.Overcast conditions KW is on 100 and new ball due in an over.
BaisnabBengali Posted May 23, 2015 Posted May 23, 2015 Whatever..Kane didn't do that great in BD forget about other SC nations. He scored 108 runs in 4 matches 3 inns in ODIs. (Since2009) Last ten ODIs VS BD 2(NZ)-8(BD)-1. Yeah still Kane's performance is good. Huh..:haha:

Bigg Brother Posted May 23, 2015 Author Posted May 23, 2015 Over 1200 runs for Williamson in last 10 tests..!!
swatpulla Posted May 23, 2015 Posted May 23, 2015 He is overrated. Feasting on pathetic India/Lanka/Pakistani attacks on home soil doesn't make him a gun player.
Invasion 550 Posted May 23, 2015 Posted May 23, 2015 Never under-rated him. For me he comes in top 3 top batsman in the world right now with ABDV and Kohli.
SLICKR392 Posted May 23, 2015 Posted May 23, 2015 by whom ? Yep. Neither over or underrated. He's brought by almost every commie as one of the best youngsters around in Test alongside Smith and Root.
Old guy Posted May 23, 2015 Posted May 23, 2015 Best young batsman right now for me . He played such a brilliant inning in India when every other team mate of his was failing and I think only Rahane is comparable in tests and root maybe
HippoSucks Posted May 23, 2015 Posted May 23, 2015 Williamson hasn't done too well in other parts of the world so he isn't underrated at all. Of course he is still very young and will definitely improve upon those averages. Never under-rated him. For me he comes in top 3 top batsman in the world right now with ABDV and Kohli. Way too young to be compared with those two. His competition right now is Root, Steve Smith and Matthews.

He is not at the level of Abdv or Kohli yet.. But he has scored runs everywhere except South Africa and Australia.. Has tons in India,Bangladesh,UAE,Srilanka,Westindies and now in England.(ODI ton in SA) He is not comparable to Root. I won't say Root is HTB but he hasn't scored runs anywhere except England..May be because most of test matches he played in England. But he has potential to score big. Will be test for him in SA,UAE and in Ashes(Although he was good in last ashes played in England)

Root has played 11 matches outside England and averages 43 there. And Williamson has improved his away from home average by making a lot of runs against West Indies, Zimbabwe and Bangladesh. While Root has done well only against West Indies (he hasn't played any of the other "easier" teams away from home). Still it is too early to compare them but I think they are in a similar class of batsman.
