renjith Posted June 22, 2015 Posted June 22, 2015 Main reason I think is the players are not at all interested after playing too many matches over a period of 1 year. sa, nzw, eng, aus, wc, ipl it was non-stop cricket. kohli playing a defensive shot to a free-hit ball sums up the state of mind of these players. simple solution is to have 3 different teams for each version.

Do you think BCCI will allow its flagship product to get hit. The IPL brand depends heavily on Indian stars and BCCI will not allow them to skip it.

Insidious Posted June 22, 2015 Posted June 22, 2015 Incapability of producing bowlers with 'X' factors. is what hurting us dearly. Srilanka produced Malinga , mendis . Even bangladesh produced mustafizur. What we have produced? Have to say Anil kumble was the only one indian bowler which surprised the world with the unconventional spin bowling. But apart from kumble , we have not produced anyone with rare talent. Despite having so much craze for IPL, why a bowler with an 'X' factor is not coming to the fore? The fact that veterans like Zaheer bowled the most economical spell of the IPL this year, and Nehra was one of the highest wicket takers in IPL, just shows how empty is the barrel. Either there is simply no bowling talent in such a huge country, or we are just incapable of bringing talent to the fore!

vishalvirsingh Posted June 22, 2015 Author Posted June 22, 2015 jadeja- neither in batting form not in bowling gorm. can india carry a guy who is neither a batsman nor a bowler but a great fielder.... can india have a swing less BHuvi and a non impressive Dhwal opening for india..... specially when we have VARUN excelling in the test on a flat track and ishant also bowling 137 to 139k and Umesh sitting on bench...- one had to give a kick to Umesh and asked him use his mind energy and bowl bangla out. umesh even got 2 wickets in the last odi and also got tammin nearly out caught ... dhwal tried his best but never looked an international bowler...even a Sandeep sharma is better than dhwal as he swings regularly.dhwal was trying his offspin / cutters but were not really coming up. bhuvi was totally out of form as a bowler. the darter left armer patel looked a use less bowler- if he was looking so bad why was bhajji flown back. we played in yesterday's match with ASHWIN only as the main bowler .. both pacers and both spinners patel jaddu n pacers looked useless. even mohit looked horrible in the first match. apart from this the Batsman just could not understand this left armer mushriqul. in the second odi we shud have sorted him out but we could not.
