Pakistan has 123 wins in 390 test matches. India has 122 wins in 488 test matches. Also Pakistan has the third best test winning percentage of all nations.

Their overseas record is quite poor, never having won a test series in Aus, SA, West Indies and won the same number of tests in Aus and SA as India. India has won 2 test series in WI. They have done decently in Eng in 90s when Eng was a pathetic side.

Both these tend to be compromised on oversees tours b) Pak ----> relies heavily on fast bowling (bottle caps) and street smart batsmen (along w/ its infamous home umpiring), so results are relatively better .... Pak also had the advantage of having many of its ATGs playing roughly at the same time so probably more likely to win test series by 2-0 etc vs. Ind's 1-0 .... And let's not forget that other teams were playing a Pak ATG 11 and still doing well against it :P Additionally, Ind test stats also carry the baggage of history - playing since 1932 .... To be honest, Ind has had some great players throughout its history but that did not translate in to it having a great team .... Since the 2000s, the team has gotten stronger and results have been much better as indicated below: Link And PS Ind has also enjoyed more success at internationally recognized events, for e.g.: a) #1 test ranking b) 2 time WC ODI champion c) T20 champion d) 2 time CT champion /thread
