Tiger80 Posted June 30, 2015 Posted June 30, 2015 On one hand, you are suggesting that I have to behave in the same way as I would to the opposite sex to an unnatural situation; On the other hand, you are asking me how it would impact my (or anyone in uncomfortable situation) life Assuming that gay relationships / marriages come to be seen as normal and legal in India, imagine Dhoni and Jadeja get married. So for me it is a funny situation to see Mr. and Mrs. Jadeja batting together, and Mrs. Jadeja being called up to give captain's comments .... This is a funny situation for me The widow example is not apples to apples one :hysterical::hysterical:
zen Posted June 30, 2015 Posted June 30, 2015 In future, Bollywood movies could also offer new love stories: * Brother and sister both want to get married to their prince charming (their childhood crush) * They both sing "Mera Khawabo mein jo aaya" imagining the same person * However, they do not know about each others feelings towards the same person * Zalim thakoor also has a soft spot for the brother * One day in the field, Zalim attacks the brother, but the prince charming saves the day for him * Sparks ignite (?) * Now the family want the sister to get married to prince charming * Brother thinks about giving qurbani, and decides to marry the Zalim * Prince charming is hurt and takes up drinking * The sister is unable to change the prince charming's habits * Towards the end, the raaz is disclosed. Brother and Prince Charming decide to get married * Zalim is unable to control his emotions so his kidnaps the brother to forcefully try to marry him * Prince charming comes to the rescue * Zalim gets hold of a gun and shoots at Prince Charming, but the sister comes in b/w * Zalim is arrested (Police making an entry at the end) * Sister gives the hand of her brother to prince charming and dies * The end :P
Shivaji bhonsle Posted June 30, 2015 Posted June 30, 2015 I know a gay dude. I came to know he is a gay after a long time. After knowing he was a gay, I couldn't talk normally with him. I don't discriminate him, nor I hate. But, I just kept distance from him. Basically, I just don't want to be his fap material. Lol.
Shivaji bhonsle Posted June 30, 2015 Posted June 30, 2015 On topic, its their life. Who are we to question them?its none of our business, really.

sensible-indian Posted June 30, 2015 Posted June 30, 2015 On topic, its their life. We should allow gay marriages in India.

Crookbond Posted June 30, 2015 Posted June 30, 2015 Great' date=' have a laugh and enjoy![/quote'] I don't think people have understood your point Desi. You've made a very important point regarding how we view homosexuals as funny or use the term gay as a pejorative. It's a deep point and not superficial at all. Pause for a moment and think if it happened the other way round. Personally, I wouldn't find it good if people make fun of my sexual orientation as a heterosexual.

I remember people calling Africans "hapshi" in delhi in front of me, I found it awkward but it didnt matter to me till I moved to Australia where being brown was different. Even if people didnt say that I was brown but they saw me as "Indian" not as a person first. I learned how it hurts when people dont see you as a person and just because you are different, they identify you by your background, orientation, country of birth. It is very demeaning and similarly if you stop talking to a friend cuz he is gay or make fun of people who are gay or think that gays just like to have sex with any male they see then you are not seeing them as a person, you are only seeing them by their sexual orientation.
zen Posted June 30, 2015 Posted June 30, 2015 Personally' date=' I wouldn't find it good if people make fun of my sexual orientation as a heterosexual.[/quote'] They can't as if they do they are also making fun of their parents and indirectly at their own birth

That analogy is not accurate. Being born in a particular race, country, class, etc is not by choice. You hv no control over it .... Whereas, choosing your partner is a matter of choice

zen Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 Oh so you think being gay is a choice? I don't support "gay is natural" movement. There have been various studies on this subject including Fraternal Birth Disorder, Gay Gene, etc. Usually in such studies, of the subjects studied only 15% to 30%'s behavior tend to be effected by whatever is being studied. The science of sexual orientation is inconclusive If we go this route, being a pedophile or a serial killer, having the tendency to be cruel towards animal, etc. can be attributed as natural or releated to something that is beyond our control too

Deleted_User_1 Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 Is this an argument ? should we legalise all animal sexual behaviour, animal also engage in incest, inter species sex and not to forget forced sex is very common in animals No. We are part of the animal kingdom, but we are an intelligent species. No one has ever endorsed sex without consent to be a normal thing. In case you have forgotten, it is called rape. Also incest is not consensual because someone is in a position of dominance and there is a lot of emotional abuse and guilt. None of these are socially acceptable behavior, we have laws against them. However, we are talking about two consenting adults of the same gender who are in a relationship. In case you do not realize, animals cannot give consent. They do not have a justice system to hold them accountable for unsocial behavior and they do not lack the intelligence to discern that. Not true there are core gays but there are also people who may incline toward homosexual behaviour if society is open about homosexual relations You can say the same about promiscuous hetero sex if you surround yourself in that environment. No one chooses to be a homosexual and face societal abuse. Society was wrong about women and minorities before in the same way. How come percentage of people with same sex attraction is high in liberal country like sweden? Liberal society fosters freedom of expression while conservative hellholes like the Islamic fundamentalist societies suppress free thinking and dictate how you should act and express yourself based on a religious book written during the stone ages. Why do you think the overwhelming majority of scientists, literary scholars, etc are liberals and many of them atheists?

You would not be saying that if you had significant interaction. No one chooses to be gay. Their sexual orientation is from birth. You think someone chooses to be gay just to be persecuted by society?
Number Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 I am of the view that as long as both/all parties are happy they should be allowed to whatever they want. Gay, lesbian, polygamy, polyandry, incest or orgy or anything they want.
zen Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 Many scientists even believe that Pedophilia is a natural orientation Like many forms of sexual deviance, pedophilia once was thought to stem from psychological influences early in life. Now, many experts view it as a sexual orientation as immutable as heterosexuality or homosexuality. It is a deep-rooted predisposition — limited almost entirely to men — that becomes clear during puberty and does not change. The best estimates are that between 1% and 5% of men are pedophiles, meaning that they have a dominant attraction to prepubescent children. Scientists at the Toronto center have uncovered a series of associations that suggest pedophilia has biological roots. Among the most compelling findings is that 30% of pedophiles are left-handed or ambidextrous, triple the general rate. Because hand dominance is established through some combination of genetics and the environment of the womb, scientists see that association as a powerful indicator that something is different about pedophiles at birth. Researchers have also determined that pedophiles are nearly an inch shorter on average than non-pedophiles and lag behind the average IQ by 10 points — discoveries that are consistent with developmental problems, whether before birth or in childhood. In a 2008 study, Cantor's team conducted MRI brain scans on 65 pedophiles. Compared with men with criminal histories but no sex offenses, they had less white matter, the connective circuitry of the brain. The evidence also points to what Cantor explained as "cross wiring": Seeing a child sets off the same neural response that men typically experience around an attractive woman. More evidence of brain involvement comes from scattered examples of men with brain tumors or neurological diseases affecting inhibition. Link Such behavior is unacceptable :orderorder:
