Rohit should have been given a chance in WI tour, esp after such a good performance in ODIs@WI. Kohli & Vijay just wasted 3 tests in WI. Which goes to show how rigid these selectors are.

Yes. We are making a horrible mistake by not playing him in tests. What has his failures in ODIs 2years ago got to do with his capabilities as a test batsman? This horrible selection policy is as senseless as it gets.

he could have made his debut against southafrica but he was injured on the morning of test match,bad luck but The amount of time he has top play quicks is amazing ,In terms of talent and technique he is ahead of current crop of indian batsman ,he is good player of backfoot and can play pull and hook shots and is a good fielder .we just need to give him the right oppurtunity

selectors are making some howlers... but the way i look at it lets be done with kohli either way. if he does well in england then rohit can wait and kohli should be welcomed in the team. if he doesnt then rohit will get a chance at no6 in aussie test series... anyway yuvi and raina will not be able to tolerate the bounce.

He is averaging over 60......and yet tuk tuks/phails like yuvraj are still selected :headshake: Pujara, Rohit and Kohli are the future of the middle order.......yet they can hardly get a game.

Rohit was more of a batsmen in a test batsmen mould, but with IPL , ODI'S BEING THE FIRST LINE OF INTRODUCTION FOR YOUNGSTERS, HE HAD LIMITED SUCCESS IN odi's.He has talent there is no doubt about it, temperament and rotating strikes is what he has to show,he in my books surely one for Test's and ODI'S for India,I would pick him over Badrinath any day,or Raina in test's.

is there a limitation on number of people to be selected in squad. i would like rohit, kohli, rahane and pujara all to be there in test squad. rohit will prolly be selected for odis replacing parthiv if seniors don't play.
