Notwithstanding the result, I ll stick by my opinion that I have held for sometime. He is the best batting talent to come from India after Yuvraj in last 15 years. However, he offers a better technique. He CAN be the best batsman in the world. Huge statement yes. But he is that good.

Hope that both Rohit and Kohli now retain their form. Positive development for the future. I won't be surprised if they replace one or two recent non-performers amongst the seniors once the full strength team returns back. At least people who take their position for granted and stop performing must be replaced by these young guns so that no Indian player starts taking his position in the team for granted.

Made a strong claim for a permanent spot in the ODI's like Kohli did last year. Raina's place is in danger now as with Jaddu and now pathan his bowling is needed less than before. Need Kohli and him at number 3 and 4 long term. Viru and GG can open and UV and dhoni can form number 5 /6 Practise matches in Aus will be very important time for him to stake claim for Test spot

I have developed a huge respect towards Rohit, he has been working on his game and has now become a very good player. But much harder tasks await him, and will test him, but I'm sure he has it in him to overcome those hurdles.
