Yuvraj has to go. Yes would only drop 1 for now but for start of next series he and a host of others would play for me

Rahane bats in the middle order for Bombay. Occasionally, he does open but he is not pigeon holed into an opener's role. And anyways, there is nothing wrong about having an opener bat in the middle order if he is the better batsman and option. Even in the current squad, there are two back up batsmen - Rahane and Vijay. Presumably, the side has kept the option open for Rahane to play, in case of an injury to someone in the middle order. The Saha/Dhoni comparison does not make sense. Neither is good enough to play in the team as a batsman while Rahane is. Typically, middle order batsmen start off in the lower middle order before moving up as slots open up. Tendulkar, Dravid, Ponting all started off at number 6. Rahane starting off at number 6 does not mean he cannot bat in the top 4 in the future.

Rohit not being selected(along with rahane) is a joke. I am sorry well done jadeja on triples but he is not good enough. Even in this short innings Jadeja is clearly not good enough, no time when playing shots , hurried, akward style. Cant play of back foot, hopelss against good pace. Rohit when he bats has all the time in the world, can play back foot and front foot. Problem in odis was not being able to rotate strike, getting bogged down and then trying big shot and getting out. No such issues in tests were can plod along. Yes not perfect and like kohli needs to stop poking outside off but like kohli needs a run to learn and improve. We have wasted such precious time with this talent. As should have been in from start of NZ series with Pujara and by now would have seen a much improved and ready test match player. Selectors I hate you!

Its this kind of nonsense which means we have jadeja and 5ft 1 inch pacer in Dinda. You cant just look at numbers but must look at technique, suitabilty ro step up, abilty to play in all conditions and abilty to play against class. Jadeja cant play of back foot and cant play pace bowling. What more reason do you need? Or do you think he can play of back foot and play quality pace?

Jadeja's domestic avg was around 45 before he got 2 triples recently.

We have given kohli chances to adjust at international level and he improved.Playing domestic attacks will just stagnate you.

Rohit has struggled in all tour and India-A games recently. No reason to believe he'll do any better in Tests. Should be in the India-A side this season and try and score some runs.

From what I have seen of Jadeja as a batsman Things that work in his favor He seems to have a lot of patience and ability to survive/hang around when batting. Can play spin decently Quick between the wickets Things that work against him Cannot play decent pace bowling Lack of temperament...seen him choke or have a brainfart while batting many times Does not have the ability to counter-attack As I said above,quick runner but not very good at rotating stike,plays too many dots Very ordinary technique Not good enough to be a No6 at the test level...As I have said before,he earned his spot and also his bowling gave him a little edge over others, But love him or hate him,he doesn't have what it takes
