Ishant Sharma, Dinesh Chandimal, Dhammika Prasad and Lahiru Thirimanne, have been charged by the cricket governing body, which will announce the verdict at the conclusion of the third Cricbuzz Cup Test. Tempers flared in the final session as Ishant Sharma and the Sri Lankan fielders had a heated exchange after Dhammika Prasad bowled three consecutive bouncers to the Indian tailender. Dhammmika stared at Ishant each time after bowling a bouncer and the No. 11 batsman, who managed a single after the barrage of short deliveries, pointed to his helmet while running to the non-striker's end, apparently signalling to the bowler that he did not hit his target. Dinesh Chandimal then nudged Sharma with his shoulder, forcing umpires Nigel Llong and Rod Tucker to intervene and calm down the players while R Ashwin was also involved in an animated chat. As Ishant hurried off the field after the Indian innings ended with Ashwin's dismissal, Dhammika sprinted behind him and television pictures showed the two players speaking to each other outside the dressing rooms. Ishant Sharma, who was fined 65 percent of his match fee for misconduct during the second Test, vented his anger with the ball when he picked up two wickets in Sri Lanka's second innings. Rohit Sharma, speaking to the media after the end of the fourth day's play, played down the on-field tension. "Such incidents happen. They are actually very good friends off the field. I just saw them having tea together after the game, which is good."
