India-KXIP fan Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 I miss srini mama :( miss him? is he not around anymore?
BlueBee Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 Our best pacers not available for the first test against the best test team. Might cost us big time
BeautifulGame Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 Ishant received "two suspension points" for a separate incident in the final innings of the Test, wherein he gave Sri Lanka opener Upul Tharanga a send-off after dismissing him. By doing so, he had breached the ICC codes relating to "using language, actions or gestures which disparage or which could provoke an aggressive reaction from a batsman upon his/her dismissal during an international match". Ishant had also*been fined*for two separate incidents during the second Test, when he was fined a total of 65% of his match fee for having given send-offs to Thirimanne and Chandimal. Hence he received a suspension this time. Another such breach in the next 12 months could have him suspended for a fixed period going up to a year.
coffee_rules Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 WTF was that ..banging his head like rain man! deserves it. but prasad shd have gotten a ban for deliberately over stepping and chasing Ishant like a school girl. That was like deliberately causing harm.. he could have killed a person..remember Phil Hughes.. f'in idiot!!

Maybe not for this test but a few send offs in last? Next thing a chat with batsman will result in suspension....
Pagalpanti Posted September 1, 2015 Author Posted September 1, 2015 Ishant received "two suspension points" for a separate incident in the final innings of the Test' date= wherein he gave Sri Lanka opener Upul Tharanga a send-off after dismissing him. So Ishant gets banned for giving a send off while Prasad gets away despite chasing a player. Isn't that provoking as well? ICC never ceases to surprise us with their stupidity. One of the most useless organizations

One of the most useless organizations Ah, but Prasad was only doing what our Bollywood heroes do to their heroines.. chasing him out of luuuurve :giggle:

Ishant needs to look at Steyn for a good example of controlled aggression - yes, Steyn has participated in his share of heated actions, but he never looked like an imbecile in the process... that head-banging celebration was highly amusing to watch, but not that intimidating.
Pagalpanti Posted September 1, 2015 Author Posted September 1, 2015 Ah' date=' but Prasad was only doing what our Bollywood heroes do to their heroines.. chasing him out of luuuurve :giggle:[/quote'] Seriously though the punishments handed out are very harsh. Chandimal deserved it. No tolerance should be shown for physical contact, but send offs... seriously? Do these match refs even watch when Aus or SA play?

It got Prasad worked up.
Vijy Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 he wasn't banned for that I didn't say he was banned for that... I said he looked like an idiot (in the literal sense) during that process, and hardly intimidating. Look at WI pace quartet or currently Steyn to understand controlled aggression.

thongale Posted September 2, 2015 Posted September 2, 2015 I tell you' date=' there is unresolved tension between these two...[/quote']They were having tea afterwards according to Rohit Sharma. Looks like these cricketers resemble politicians. They fight infront of us, make peace behind the scenes, and enjoy riches, while supporters keep on fighting with eachother.:--D
