Sanju Samson:Flattered to deceive?

In his debut IPL season everyone from the layman fan to the experts went gaga over him.He was marked as the next Indian batting star. Two seasons and a bit more since then, the Samson star has gone down.Runs have dried up for him in every format for him.

Seems like too much was made of him, just like Unmukt Chand and Vijay Zol.Seems like we are over hypng under 19 talent.

all these young players will do just fine with time,,don't worry

for example manish pandey was supposed to have disappeared...he is in the indian team now

it will all work out

nothing unusual is happening...its a long  long road to the top..

to early to say anything

N unmukt chand n vijay zol hasnt even done well in ipl

but unmukt and samson have done decent at India A level.

They will get better and mature with time

Unmukt just scored a 100 in SMA trophy, T20.

He is doing well in T20s, SMA trophy.

Jitesh Sharma WK from Vidarbha should be kept an eye on for LOIs.

Jitesh sharma is the least impressive batsmen I've seen, only knows how to hack the ball on the leg side. I would say we need to groom Nikhil Naik as a WK batsmen, he is a strong batsmen who has done reasonably and hoping he betters himself in the future.

There are enough young keepers who are promising. Bains, Kishan and Pants to name a few.

They are children and do not have mature heads on the shoulders. We need somebody who is not only a good hitter but also intelligent and street smart to be impactful.

I don't see Samson having that much of a mature head either. Besides, most of these keepers like Naik, J Sharma, etc. are equally unproven. If I remember correctly, Bains has already played for Ind A. Baccha or no baccha, the only thing that matters is talent. One can give them a long rope if necessary.

Samson has won India A matches in Australia while chasing, has done well for sometime now so he is maturing and understanding his game, baaki buccha's don't even know what kind of game they have. Ankush bains just got one India A game and he did nothing in it. Naik is not proven yes but he has been doing well in the U23 category for years now, something these bucchas have not done so he is anyways experienced in that sense. He has not got opportunities with the senior team as yet as much as he should.

We shall see. In any event, I'm not too concerned about keepers in Tests after Dhobi. In ODIs, no one will ever replace him (at least, not the Dhobi at his peak).
