Malcolm Merlyn Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 In his debut IPL season everyone from the layman fan to the experts went gaga over him.He was marked as the next Indian batting star. Two seasons and a bit more since then, the Samson star has gone down.Runs have dried up for him in every format for him.Seems like too much was made of him, just like Unmukt Chand and Vijay Zol.Seems like we are over hypng under 19 talent.
bulbul Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 Over hyped.....he is not even a regular keeper.
youngindia Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 all these young players will do just fine with time,,don't worry for example manish pandey was supposed to have disappeared...he is in the indian team nowit will all work outnothing unusual is happening...its a long long road to the top..
express bowling Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 Samson has done well in the SM Trophy this time
tweaker Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 There are lot of young keepers .ie Ankush Bains,Rishab Pant,Ishan Kishan etc.
JaFanatic Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 There were fans who wanted Samson to replace MS in ODIs
JaFanatic Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 There are lot of young keepers .ie Ankush Bains,Rishab Pant,Ishan Kishan etc.How good is Sheldon Jackson ? He doesn keep wks in FC though
rkt.india Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 He is doing well in T20s, SMA trophy. Jitesh Sharma WK from Vidarbha should be kept an eye on for LOIs.

nsareen Posted January 24, 2016 Posted January 24, 2016 He is doing well in T20s, SMA trophy.Jitesh Sharma WK from Vidarbha should be kept an eye on for LOIs.Jitesh sharma is the least impressive batsmen I've seen, only knows how to hack the ball on the leg side. I would say we need to groom Nikhil Naik as a WK batsmen, he is a strong batsmen who has done reasonably and hoping he betters himself in the future.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

They are children and do not have mature heads on the shoulders. We need somebody who is not only a good hitter but also intelligent and street smart to be impactful.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Besides, most of these keepers like Naik, J Sharma, etc. are equally unproven. If I remember correctly, Bains has already played for Ind A. Baccha or no baccha, the only thing that matters is talent. One can give them a long rope if necessary.

Ankush bains just got one India A game and he did nothing in it. Naik is not proven yes but he has been doing well in the U23 category for years now, something these bucchas have not done so he is anyways experienced in that sense. He has not got opportunities with the senior team as yet as much as he should.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

In ODIs, no one will ever replace him (at least, not the Dhobi at his peak).
