kosingh Posted March 22, 2016 Posted March 22, 2016 I visit India for about 3-4 months every year. Can anyone recommend portable internet option for someone like me? Most important thing is to be able to watch streaming matches (cricket, nfl, nba) without a glitch. People seem to be unhappy with all the options. So it's hard to choose. Does the provider you should choose simply depend on your specific geographic location?
Laaloo Posted March 22, 2016 Posted March 22, 2016 3-4 months a year? Damn that's a dream for me and many other NRIs. Lucky you man, Enjoy. Can't help you with your query though, sorry.
Malcolm Merlyn Posted March 22, 2016 Posted March 22, 2016 Dongle has poor FUP.So streaming is a no no. Captain 1
coffee_rules Posted March 22, 2016 Posted March 22, 2016 For regular browsing and light streaming (utube), I use Tata Docmo 3G, nowadays we get 4G dongles from Airtel etc. which might be better, never used. I am happy with Tata Docomo 3G. If you have 4G smart phone service, you can turn on the hotspot and use it as Wifi. You don't need a dongle in that case.
BlueBee Posted March 22, 2016 Posted March 22, 2016 MTS provides the best plans but is available in the limited places only. Check their website for the coverage if your itinerary is within that.
rkt.india Posted March 24, 2016 Posted March 24, 2016 you will go bankrupt very soon by using dongles for streaming matches.
