Epic match it was.  There was so much build up to that match with the Paki players making over the top statements before the match. Pakistan had gotten a decent first innings total and then it was a treat the way Sachin and co obliterated the Pakistani bowling attack.  Remember it so vividly

That innings from Tendu was a huge psychological blow to Pakistan, Pak realized if they couldn't break the world cup duck then vs India then they would never!, India's H2H vs Pak improved, heck in 2003 even India GDP per capital surpassed Pakistan's GDP per capita

H2H was forgotten a long time back the way India has performed in tourneys and shown up for big games. I mean what's India's H2H against WI? I'm sure WI would still be ahead by some margin but do we really care about it? Same goes with Pak and any other team. I would win more tourneys, show up consistently in big matches and win when the pressure's really on. The topmost things on my list as an Indian cricket fan are as follows (from highest to lowest priority):

1. World Cup
2. Test series win in Aus
3. Test series win in SA
4. WT20 Cup
5. Champions Trophy
6. Test series wins over other teams
7. Asia Cup
8. Multi-team tourneys (like Triangulars or Quadrangulars we used to have long time back)
9. Bi-lateral LOI series

 I'm sorry but as you can see better H2H (bi-lateral series) comes at the bottom of my list.

ofcourse world cups and test more important, but i was pointing how that particular Tendu innings has psychologically scarred pak and in many aspects it has been downhill for Pakistan since then (death of bob woolmer, terror attacks on SL team, no intl cricket in pak, caught red handed spot fixing, kicked out of IPL, Afridi still playing  )

oh yeah that was a breathtaking innings and that's why I rate it higher than all the 100s Tendulkar has scored in LOIs.
