Fast bowlers - Catch 'em young?

Rajpoot may or maynot do well in international cricket...no-one can really say....but he is the type of bowler who should be groomed.

I have seen him. While back n seemed like a Sreesanth kinda bowler, action, frame n pace wise

Will get to see him in TNPL on star. Not the perfect platform but still could get an idea on how he bowls.

How did Aswin Crist do this Ranji.  Mohammed Siraj needs to be on the next 'A' tour.  Need to see some young fast bowlers being groomed BCCI!

Banjo I want a Rabada type guy for our team.   I'm sure in a 1.3 billion there will more than a few, just need to find them.  The first great Indian fast bowler.  Where will he come from.  Even if we get a good 5 years out of Shami, he won't quite be that guy - already has knee issues and is probably older than advertised.

IMHO  to find the great Indian fast bowler, it is important to search for young pacers with  pace + bounce + skills

 

They may not be the best performers in Ranji matches  ( as genuine quicks are often hampered by injury breaks )

 

The selectors' should use their " talent spotting eyes " and still back them....choose them for A team  matches, Deodhar Trophy, ROI, BP XI etc.

 

Take special care to develop them.

 

Now that we have a decent fast bowling culture in our country, I hope the selectors are not satisfied with just pace or just skills or just FC performances.

 

Nathu Singh is the best choice we have as of now among young uncapped pacers.  He has skills + pace + bounce.....but whether he will make it big will dpend on his temperament and fitness ....and we can't say anything  about that yet.

True...... atleast, finding good batsmen have been much easier at a national level but our system does not produce that many good bowlers.
