sandeep Posted August 10, 2016 Posted August 10, 2016 So many great fast bowlers have been the ones who have debuted fairly young - early twenties or even lower - Michael Holding, Wasim Akram, Imran, Kapil. Even the great brown hype - Ishant! On a serious note, I think its because fast bowlers need at least a couple of seasons at the top level to get 'seasoned' and really learn their tradecraft at the highest level. And if you start your career late then you are racing against your body clock to stay relevant. Really makes one think that at least at 'A' tour level, India need to throw in a few youngsters into the deep end, and see which ones sink or swim. express bowling 1
tweaker Posted August 10, 2016 Posted August 10, 2016 Selectors should have selected either or all of Nathusingh , Rajpoot,Chaudhary for this A tour Mosher and express bowling 2

sandeep Posted August 10, 2016 Author Posted August 10, 2016 yeah and he might not even be that young. At least pick him in the squad. He gets the experience... tweaker 1
express bowling Posted August 10, 2016 Posted August 10, 2016 Not picking Nathu and Rajpoot was poor judgement on the part of selectors. These A tours are for developing young players who have the potential to represent India, and giving them much needed international exposure. A big chance missed. Mosher, tweaker, MK55 and 2 others 5
rkt.india Posted August 10, 2016 Posted August 10, 2016 We keep picking kulkarni and unadcut. Ankit_sharma03 1

maniac Posted August 10, 2016 Posted August 10, 2016 What happened to Avesh Khan and Khaleel? Get them in and make them learn the hard way rather than take the easy way out and become trundlers like Vinay and Pankaj. Which is not bad in of itself. But you need to throw in a few wild cards based on potential in departments where we really need to find prospects - fast bowlers, allrounders, wicket keepers. It was good of them to give Nathu a game against a touring side. And I don't want to be just stuck on discussing that one guy. What about our pacers from the u-19 world cup? Sure we didnt see anybody of Rabada or Joseph class, but maybe they were worth a punt? tweaker 1

Khaleel & Avesh Khan were impressive in the u 19 wc,they were bowling with good pace also. But main problem will start, when they will turn out in domestic cricket & will cut out on pace to sustain the long domestic season Rightarmfast 1

Maybe he is putting in the work as well. He really overdoes the short of length stuff and needs to add variety. Let's see how how he does on the 'A' tour and this domestic season. He is one of the best prospects we have at the moment. And I have more confidence in the Indian team setup to curb and manage any "Shehzadi" tendencies.

I think he was bowling as his captain wanted him to bowl in the T20.He is a street smart cricketer & has come from the rungs. He will be aware of his limitations as a bowler & will get better as he bowls more in different conditions He will certainly improve under Dravid 's coaching. He also had the opportunity to learn under Bond in MI setup. sandeep 1

Wow is this coming from you , who defended Rohit off season spent on holiday and bringing his poor game with a big paunch to international circuit. Despite such poor shot He has 1 season of domestic and few Int t20 and we have declared him shehzad and his perfomances was more than rohit n dhawan from Ind-sl series. I bet this guy give him 9 yrs like rohit raina have got and he ll be at a different level. If not Atleast pandya work hards in off season https://www.instagram.com/p/BHD5wr3AHv1/?taken-by=hardikpandya_official https://www.instagram.com/p/BHBP1QuASoX/?taken-by=hardikpandya_official https://www.instagram.com/p/BG8l1KCzX9d/?taken-by=hardikpandya_official He can give an excuse he doesnt need to its an off season and till this date he wasnt even picked for A-tour so he had an off. On contary our Maggie man despite such poor show in test didntt work at all and bought a paunch , Shame it is specially these days when players are so keen on fitness. Our Exp player can learn something from a youngster about hard work. Edited August 10, 2016 by Ankit_sharma03

Best way is to fast track, which could be done after A-tours. Here they dont even get a chance to play on A-tour Ishant n Irfan were blooded in really early. And at start they became our best bowlers Bang n SL does it , i dont understand y krishna das, unadkat, dhawal gets chances over these guys. Ideally Avesh, nathu, Rajpoot would have been fast tracked had they been playing in SL, pak or bang. Why it works with subcontinet team n now Wi to coz out domestic structure n pitches are no ideal to make fast bowlers. So better that these countries fast track pace bowlers early. What worse can they do than an Exp ishant sharma tweaker 1

MCcricket Posted August 10, 2016 Posted August 10, 2016 Problem with Indian cricket throughout history rarely have we seen good set of selectors, there is no developing of talent, pool, planning, this selection panel is very very poor n Cheeks was worst, there were few good ones like Borde, K More, M Amaranth. We have lost a lot of talent because of our selectors, V Razdan, S Ankola, R Kulkarni, Amre n specially they have no idea at all about bowlers how on earth can useless bowlers like Chawal n Unadkunt be selected again n again when they R hopeless trundlers bowling at 125 to 132 K , what do they expect lol DHAWAL WAS OK before injury but now is a serious trundler, selectors R ruining them by selecting them as well as other bowlers who R being ignored like, Nathu, Aniket, Suyal, Ankit ,Warrier, Khalil, Avesh ,Chama tweaker 1
